Actually if you read well, she says the ocean is like hell to vampires, they're gonna get trapped there. Isn't she refering just to the case that the ocean is something that the vampires wouldnt manage to survive from if they are sunk, also Alucard crossing the water is never mentioned, they are just thinking of a way to get him on the ship due to the guns

@PodaiKofa You also have to keep in mind Alucard is the most powerful vampire of all times. Hellsing messed with his genetic/magical makeup so that normal vampire weaknesses don't do anythign to him. Crucifixes have no effect, neither do stakes nor silver bullets. Holy water is nothing and cutting his head off and stabbing his heart (as Anderson proved) just means he'll regenerate in a little mroe time, etc...

Additionally Alucard's already vrossed open waters, when he went to South America.

hey i just figured this out, but doesnt the name "Alucard" seem a little familiar? Perhaps from a story from one of Bram Stoker's many famous monster novels? I dont kno... maybe Dracula? hehehehe. He is the world's strongest vampire, he works for Hellsing. Which Abraham Van Hellsing formed... maybe Hellsing the anime is the alternate ending to Bram Stoker's "Dracula" perhaps?
