  • I saw this dude on Pros vs Joes

  • Relax the shoulders and let the arms swing. but good form nonetheless.

  • mine is 20 seconds

  • Really Nice Form U arms were pefect

  • easy to talk shit when our fatass' are sitting on the computer debating whether he is fast or not.

  • name of the music track? is not airbourne bla bla bla

  • just giving some advice but i don't think moving your arms in front of your chest is very efficient, maybe a little but the way you're doing it you could improve so much more.

  • For the guy who said "pretty slow", he is a 10.2 runner who is 6'4" 225, not to mention he is a 6.5 in the 60. I guess that is pretty slow...

  • whats this guys 100? looks like i can beat him

  • dude has JACKED legs and he is fast too!

  • His left arm comes across his body, creating a slight twist in his torso when he runs, corrected, this could increase his time by .2 of a second over 100m

  • @ryball2000 Arm swing means far less than you think if you think that correction would produce faster times. Arm swing is generally a function of what happens in the lower body and attempting to make the arm swing look pretty without addressing whatever is causing it to look asymmetrical would likely make the person slower. Research evidence from Ralph Mann shows that the arm swing contributes relatively little to upright sprinting performance.

  • @HPCsport:I think arm swing means A LOT in fast sprint times, but maybe not just in the way ryball2000 pointedt it. Ryball's kind of right in a sense, but the problem would as well be a lack of core stability in anti-rotation so the problem of torso rotation might as well come from the core. But the other reasons for the importance of the arm swing would imply to keep the hips at a correct height to bring the hips up and reach triple extension adequatly at each step.

  • @HPCsport: Charlie Francis pointed more than often the importance of arm swing in good sprinting technique...Another thing of importance about arm action in sprinting is the nervous traject in the body in the way that arm actions precede a little bit the lower body action so it is important on relaxing shoulders and pumping the arms really fast, in the lower body the important stuff comes a lot from dorsiflexion of the ankles and good backside mechanics, bringing the feet at opposite knee level.

  • @HPCsport: anyway in my opinion, I'm speaking of what happens AT max speed, I think arm swing is far more important than what most people would be tempted to think. I would almost say what happens in the lower body is almost a function of proper arm swing and sprint position...

  • @HPCsport: Anyway I think Dallas has a really decent technique and good potential so the debate is not about him..just about sprinting ideas.. I heard he pulled a hamstring something like before Olimpic trials or something like this? Is it true? And now in 2011 how are things going for him? Is he back in shape? Hope things are going well for him!

  • this is my substitute at skool hahahaa

  • fix that left hand dallas, get it back behind that hip son!

  • 200m i counted 19 seconds because the video was in slow motion

  • hes a noob lol na im only messin yeah his pritty good

  • pretty slow but good techinque

  • You do realize that portions of the video are at 1/4 speed don't you? This gives the appearance that he is running slowly.

  • your are right...the arms...

  • lol how is a 21 second 200 slow? especially at 95%.

  • Ummm..have you seen the video of him running 200 in 21.25 at like 225-235 pounds. Dude, he's fast.

  • @janwulfert his 200m is sub 21

  • @janwulfert He aint slow. He looks slow because of his stride. He is taking long strides covering more distance as opposed to fast short strides.

  • Interesting song choice..sounds unique. Can you provide the name of this artist?

  • Dude's got some speed. In the 3x60m, did he go all out for 20m, slow down and then go all out again? Because the directions were kind of confusing.

  • dallas is really talented and I wish he would run some races this year..

  • is"nt running on the toes better than flat footed? toes give you more speed

  • thats why i would kill him in a 2 and a 1 meter

  • how do you guage 95% as opposed to 100%

  • I'll give cutoff times but generally it's by feel. There's definitely a skill to being able to feel the gradations in speed from 90-100% effort.

  • You said it's by feel..I'm assuming that you are running more comfortably when you're running at 95% as opposed to 100%. You're more relaxed. But for some people, can't they technically actually run a faster time if they do a 95% run by 'feel'. What I mean by this is that they'd be running and 95%, and their run will be more comfortable and controlled, as opposed to going 100%, where they exhaust their ability to run. This may apply to at least the beginner runners. Just a thought.

  • Definitely true and good points. Most (but not all) experienced sprinters are capable of giving 100% effort and still being relaxed. Less experienced athletes will often benefit from what you've pointed out though.

  • i run 200m but im in middle skool

  • was this fast forwarded

  • No but for the 200m it goes in to slow mo for a while before returning to regular speed.

  • I'm in a strength and conditioning class for track and it has really kept me in shape for the season. My last race/ speed timing was the 40 yd dash in 5.06 seconds.

  • im 14 and 2 months ago i ran 12.5 on track then i started doin sprints outside my house but then i got injured and im better now and then i got timed at 12.4 on concrete so im lookin forward to athletics this year but im gonna step my trainin up a bit:D:D

  • niice thats my school any good tips anyone for a 100 200 runner

  • I live in Ft Worth, Texas area (North Richland Hills), and I'm looking for a spring coach for my 16 (almost 17) year old daughter. She is a soccer player, long legs, pretty fast, but lacks mechanics...she could be faster if she could develop some running discipline....I like the video and may use it to train her, but she really needs a pro....help!

  • could any 1 giv me any tips im 14 jus started running athletics nd i do the 200m round 25 secs nd 100m ind round 12secs nd 400 round a 58 secs 2 a minute but i jus wna concentrate on 100 nd 200 nd wnt tips on how to run them so i can improve my times

  • You got some speed for sure! You look more like a football player than a track/sprinter.

You may have those NFL scouts coming to take a peek. Keep it up...

  • he has another video were he runs a 4.1 40 and benches 300+ 21 times

  • i'm black btw but yea thats true a lot of white guys are fast nowdays, theres a guy i play football(soccer) with who doesn't even know how to sprint start and can run 100m in 10.9

  • Lol if he runs 10.9 without training for sprints and doesnt know how to sprint start I suggest you get him down to a track and take up running lol, I run 10.49 Im almost 18 years old Ive been training around 2 and a half years now, I was ridiculously slow running 13.8 when I first started up sprinting, this guy has some talent in the sprints if your claim is true. How old is he?

  • i love too sprint

  • my 100mm record is 12sec flat

  • how old are you? I'm 14 and do it in 13 secs flat

  • im 13 and do 12.8-13flat on average

  • im 18 and my 100m is 10.64

  • in 13 i do it in 12.9

  • Keep at it. It's good you are interested in the details. Develop your technique and posture early and you will be at an advantage soon. Getting in to a bad technique is very hard to fix and can leave you injured.

  • he looks flat footed when he sprints.

  • He isn't. I believe that is just due to the angle of the video.

  • time?

  • Time for what? He ran 6.10 for 55m, 6.64 for 60m and 21.10 for 200m indoors while training with HPC. Note that we are no longer working with Dallas.

  • looks slow to me

  • Part of the 200m was in slo-mo. Dallas is not slow. In 2008, he had the fastest 55m time in the world and world ranked performances in the 60m and 200m.

  • his good for a white man

  • alot of white guys are fast nowadays

  • Please tell me where this training session is at, that field looks amazing. I wish I could run that fast :D

  • keep your forward lean bro, you over rotate your right shoulder and its causing your right leg/hip to open up screwing up your ground contact. stay forward

  • Dallas, you remind me of Rocky in the first movie when he runs before hitting the stairs at the museum... go for your dreams. Good luck from New York City!

  • heaviest runner ive seen that is fast that is
