Sicily was first and foremost an Ancient Greek island and was quickly colonised by the Greeks (sikelia) as also was the rest of southern Italy e.g. Napoli from Greek Nea Polis (new city) etc. Phoenicians were also dominant on the island but not as much so as the Greeks. Much later Italy was romanized and much later the Arabs and Normans and others came. So I dont think the Arabs left too much a mark in the DNA of sicilians
