Question: Please correct me if I am wrong anywhere.  When the bus mastery is held by DMA controller, the CPU essentially is continuing its work (instructions). During this process, should the CPU wait if it needs to read or write to CPU? (as the bus is being used by DMA device) If yes, doesn't this reduce the performance?
