Worst theme park of all time? FUCK YOU FUCK-WIT! I've Had KILLA times at WOBBIES... Just cause your parents were too poor to get you in shit biscuit! BRRRRRAP!
Brisbane had something similar out the back of Samford, called Adventureland. Back in the seventies such a place was probably considered a great family day out, before the advent of Dreamworld & such. I believe the Wobbie's World Viscount is now in the collection of the Moorabbin Air Museum.
@toddles9 Deliberate - just to fit in with the theme of the place - this place would have been heaven for me. I would have loved to ride the bobcats or the tanks, or examine the trams. Too bad it shut when I was about 4 :(
I loved this place too. Apparently the castle entrance, the bridge, the mini golf and the party room is still there. They built a housing development around it
@vxrobby Dandenong-Hastings Road (Westernport Highway) Langwarrin, it is now housing, Leisureland Drive comes off North Road, all that remains is the castle.
Give the place some fucking credit. They raised prices to keep the place going. I personally loved this place. It brings a tear to my eye to see what has happened to it.
The concrete castle, bridges, a mini-train station, the Birthday Room and the miniature golf course are all still there (within whats now a nursery). All dusty overgrown and looking sad. Just memories! Thank you Wobbies World!
Leisureland was most assuredly NOT better, at least when I was a kid... my family demanded and got a refund from Leisureland (no shit) for having nothing and sucking (admittedly, it hadn't long opened). Wobbie's World was pretty naff by today's standard, but I have many fond memories of many visits there growing up.
It's Pissweak World!!!

Went on that helicopter ride a few times.
At 0:07 when you hit the bottom, it jolted your whole body. It bloody hurt.
I LOVED WW. Lived across the road from it so we went heaps of times, but I gotta be honest, the whole place was a deathtrap.

Most of these attractions were before they got rid of half of them. It was a cool plac to go as a kid b4 that happened.

Closed down in the early 90s. Is abandoned now with nothing worth seeing there as they sold all the good stuff off.

I know it was bloody hilarious. Sad to see it go but also appropriate. If it wasn't a failure that would have given it some credibility.
