  • Truly a masters, master. I have followed articles from him since the 80's.

  • awesome !

  • The smoothness of his movements is ridiculously impressive. o.o

  • It iseasy to see when someone has practised for years .....I would love to meet this Master.......

  • I like th feel of this. Bagua on pebbles. To refer to anger, STRESS builds up into anger. All you are is frustrated and want to cut it out or expel. Many people do it fiercly others learn to weed it out gently. But STRESS(not anger) just like a reasonable amount of fear, can keep you cautious and safe. Learn to rinse out your anger through your breath. Go and run it off and take a good hot shower. Enjoy the warmth ans smile. Brush it off by being confident you will adapt and overcome.

  • That was beautiful.

  • i looked away for 1 second and i missed a part of the vid

  • Airbending!

  • I would give you 500 thumbs up if I could!

  • Beautiful, thank you.

  • Excellent!

  • Thank you for telling me absolutely nothing useful. You'll excuse me if I don't take an anonymous "sensei's" comment on the internet as the definitive truth, but rather ask for a little something called reasoning. Or are you one of those people that train in order to bolster your ego and derive self worth by putting others down, even if it is without basis?

  • You should not anger yourself with those that see martial arts as a fighting sport.

paying attention and angering yourself because of those with a other path in life is only putting energy in a place while its better spendable.

  • Thank you for your input, I am familiar with the principle you refer to. Of course, anger (if that's actually the emotion in question) is a part of the human experience, so I don't believe in strictly shunning a set of "negative" emotions in adherence to a moral ideal. Certainly there's no point in prolonged anger or anything that can drain your energy, but we have to start with honesty if we are going to get anywhere - that applies to the intellect as well as emotions.

  • Actually (not only as a martial artist) I believe negative emotions are not useful in any way.

Everything can be solved with reasoning, and I myself never feel the need to get angry.

getting angry issnt fun is it? so why should you. Its more stress and stress is not good for your health.

I do think however that emotions should never be held in. Holding in emotions can lead to mental problems(most likely depression if not dealt with). The secret is seeing things from a different angle.

  • Well said!

  • not saying you are wrong but anger sets in place the need to to be positive and thus balancing the ying and yang so to speak, as without it positivity would be void.

  • Anger is a mindset/ set of hormones that might be used for fight as opposed to flight in most animal specie.

    Anger and hormones.

Get angry means the flow of the required hormones.

If the hormones that anger requires are in place then the result is anger.

Peacefull mind in control means control over the hormones.

    The enemy is with in.

Surely this is meant to be the goal of people including martial artists to control one self ?

  • I've been looking for Sifu Hsu's videos for YEARS- I can't find anyone local to LA who distributes any! Does ANYONE know where I can buy this locally with cash?

  • because of this video I started practicing Bagua.

  • WOW! I saw this video in 02'/03' and could not find it again but because of this video practiceing Bagua back then.

  • Impressive. I've never seen this in action, done properly; I've only read about it.

  • This is not a set form, which is core to bagua or any system--not locked into a routine. Set routines are used for lower level training. The bagua lien huan form, for example, in our system is based on eight post/directions. Also note, the number of posts can vary.

  • Outstanding! One question though, is this a set routine or spontaneous movement going through palm changes around the posts?

  • Dan, thanks for putting this up. Good stuff.
