@vifavourites I agree with you. The effects were only good during the potrace. But to be fair to the movie makers I've got to say, that it is impossible to make lasers etc. fly out from the screen when you are doing the effects after filming on the computer. That only works when you are already filming with a 3D-camera. =(

not to be a troll or anything, but the 3d effects on episode one sucked, the movie was fine, but at some scenes it was like 2 charactures were in focus and the (beautiful) background was in beergoggles' mode. And it wasnt like lasers,comets or starships were flying through the audience :/

It was funny to see how jar jar binks was put in the background the following movie, part 1 could have done without his clumsyness.. and more characture development in the followups. (2-3) .

@DanielJohn19 It was a fine fight, but I think Lucas really dropped the ball on building up Maul, (and the "first" three movies as a whole). You have the makings of such a promising antagonist and yet there's really no increase in tension or thickening of plot for this seemingly ultimate Sith assassin. And Extended Universe doesn't count: Phantom Menace, not Phantom Sidenote.
