Yea I think Jenkins has played well (when he has played this season) or I should say better then last season. Secondary really needs to step it up its been that way for a few years now.

I agree the secoundary is horrible and that doesn't exclude Newman I been saying it since his rookie year Terance Newman is not that good of a CB, our secoundary is short they play short, that's a big problem for the Cowboys, but one of our big problems is these first and secound year WR's they aren't familiar enough with the system as a 4th or 5th year reciever that's why Miles Austin will make a big impact when he comes back, we'll have to be a all offensive football team.

Romo is clutch for leading the team down the field at the end of the game, making those throws with defenders on him, at this feet, in his face, spinning out of the pocket, and Baily is amazing too, after Buehler was terrible last season, this season Baily has been such a gem, glad we've got him

I went back and looked at the stats for the game and you are right. We had four sacks...3 blitz, lee, butler and scandrick so I guess we did put the pressure on. I just remember constantly screaming he has "all day" during the game. Lol I agree dware always makes a huge impact off the stat sheet and he is definately the MVP. I'm thrilled about Bailey but those are fieldgoals he should make.

Penalties are unacceptable. I do believe the Miami defense caused those by dominating our line. Got us scared and we were jumping. The secondary sucked but that being said we did not pressure their qb. At all. Not even when we blizted. We are fortunate to get out with a win after being dominated at the line on both sides of the ball.  How did dware get the iron man award? I thought the only sack he had was erased by a penalty? I thought he only had one or two tackles?

I think you're wrong about the pressures... I think we were getting a great rush off the edge with Spencer and Ware but it didn't make a difference because the QB was getting the ball out so fast. That has everything to do with the secondary and not the d line/blitzing lbs..

DWare's stats weren't great (1 tackle, 1 fumble recovery and 1 assist) but he did all the things that did not show up in the stat sheet. He kept Reggie Bush from scoring a wide open TD on the Dolphins.....

Great coverage of the issues. don't forget our kicker has hit 26 in a row, and for an iffy offensive team, kickers make the difference! you mentioned, romo, he was making up for his mistakes. edge to Bailey. IMHO

and yeah, pound with Murray. pound pound pound.

Bailey is the man. But he was on the field for 5-6 plays....

Romo (whether he was "making up" for mistakes or not) made play after play on the final few drives that average QBs could not have made.

Wake I think was the problem with Free, he seemed to be trying too hard. That was his problem I think. But I think in terms of the defense. We all knew it was going to take a good year for them to grasp rob ryans scheme. It looked like he added a few new plays because I saw like 7 different blown overages in the game. The secondary does need to improve, but I want to wait until the end of the season to see if they can pull this thing together. Except for ball. His play was ridiculous.

I could see that Wake/Free problem but still.... Free has played good edge rushers before. NO reason Wake should scare Free as though he's a rookie.

And I hope you're right about the secondary... but I don't think you are... I think we just need better players

@markmissestexas this is not the first time Newman has had trouble with Marshalll who is a beast. Scandrick is ok but he has a tough time with bigger recievers & as for Ball Im still trying to figure out why he is even on the team. We need Mike Jenkins to stay healthy big time and to play at a high level too take pressure off Newman having to be our best corner. I wish they would pick up a punt returner, I like Dez but he is too valueable to our team to be a returner with Miles getting hurt.

He's not that valuable if he's only catching 3 balls a game. And that extra special teams help is necessary if we keep playing this poorly on offense and in the defensive secondary...

Not exactly. he tried to OVERSPEND on Nnamdi but got outbid (thankfully)... They drafted Jenkins high, it just hasn't worked out..

They need draft picks that work out... We'll see...

@markmissestexas Good point,glad the eagles went with the Dan Synder approach.I don't know what happened to jenkins,I was thinking big things after he broke out in 09 but all he's done is regress since. Terrence Newman has long worn out his welcome,Scandrick has played over his head at times this year but still makes costly errors,Jenkins stays hurt and looks to have a marshmellow heart,other then Sean Lee Brookings and James get raped down the middle routinly, and Ball is shit.GREAT VIDEOS BTW

Yea, I'm starting to think it has something to do with the coaching at that position.

But man, they're violating every simple rule of defensive back play. I just don't get it. I don't know about you, but I would certainly think that Jenkins, Scandrick and ESPECIALLY Newman would know better.
