Marvin Gay was very good, a different type of version, but very good. But as far as traditional goes, I think it still goes to Whitney, even Charice copy many of Whitney's songs. I'm not saying Charice's version isn't good, because I think she is amazing singer, the next Diva voice, I'm just prefer Whitney.

Most American politicains of that time sees Philippines as thier achielles heel and rightly so. Singing SSB at opening of any major sports is a great of a deal and truly an honor for any singer.Who would have thought that a girl who grew up in poverty all her life would be awarded a chance to perform in such special event.The combination of a bomber that capable of annihalating the world and a powerful voice that can win the hearts of its citizens.

Well if you think about it what's the difference really? Philippines being the former Us Pacific Commonwealth state, they actually did left PI after WW2 only in idea. They have guided our culture over 63 years and hence our culture is the most Americanized Asian culture in the world.

They left PI cause they don't want to be dragged again against an Asian power (like the japanese pre ww2). Most American politicains of that time sees Philippines as thier achielles heel and rightly so. Otherwise, Philippines would have been a US state even before Hawaii did.Most American's nowadays don't know that there are the so called "little brown americans" across the pacific.

Beyonce's version was amazing. Celine was great. Leanne Rhymes was ok. Mariah was nice, but quiet. Faith Hill was good. Jessica Simpson sounded awful. Christina Aguillera wasn't that good.. Carrie Underwood was good. Miley Cirus was bad. Kelly Clarkson was nice. Jennifer Hudson was ok. Whitney Houston and CHARICE sings it the best!
