What is really amazing is that this is such a large production, obviously a lot of money involved, rehearsals, charts and still their not as good as a real American band like "Blood Sweat and Tears" or "Chicago" tho they do still dress like the 70's and have the poses down. To hear a real tribute listen to Joe Cocker with Leon Russel that was what 40 years ago and it is more up to date tand more original than this.

A professional effort but neither singer had the depth of feeling that a real artist can bring. Listen to Mary J. Blies tribute to Ray Charles. These guys sound like just another bar band singers. The piano player sounds like he learned from a jazz book no Blues or R&B chops at all. Same with the Flute and guitar they are not playing for the song or Ray Charles it is all ego. Every musican says something in their playing. All these guys know how to say is "Me, Me, Me listen to me me" lame .

Of course nothing can reach the genuine song Unchain My Heart of Ray Charles, but these people just made a great attempt to present it to the audiance, with a difference style, which I believe suits to the song. So people saying that this orchester devastated, annahilated, obliterated, maimed, mangled, mutilated, destroyed the song, in my opinion are just retarded.

wow...is it just me or were these guys lost half the time? The pianist, while clearly very accomplished, seems to get totally lost in terms of following the changes. The guitar soloist tone sounds like he's playing a bassoon through a flanger and a flubs at least as many notes as I would, maybe more [eek!] I love Ray Charles too but...wow...
