With the caveat that I may not 100% understand things, here's what I meant: The ontological argument says that god, by definition, is a being more perfect than any other we can conceive. Existence is an attribute of perfection, so if god didn't exist, we could conceive of a being still more perfect. Therefore, by definition, god exists.
