I'd recommend actually checking out the Graphic Novels, the art style used is far more closer to a web-comic such as Ctrl+Alt+Del or even Penny Arcade then "Anime" as you are stating.

Just because a character has "huge eyes" does not imply it's Anime, If that be the case then Ctrl+Alt+Del and Penny Arcade would classify as such and those web-comics certainly are NOT Anime. Well the same applies for the Scott Pilgrim comics, which the game borrows it's art from. Go check it out.

@ghos7bear While they are informed by anime, they are not anime. They are also inspired by classic Japanese games, while Paul Robertson's animation style is much akin to Metal Slug. It's not manga, but it is stylized. An easy mistake to make.

For an indicator, there are none of anime's trademarks sweatdrops, headbulges, etc.

I have both systems but I'm kinda bummed that this is gonna be out for XBLA on august 25th since my ps3 is in my living room and I'm unable to play it as much as my xbox.
