  • I wish this show had more cool scenes with Wild Bill. Not only is he a badass, but he is also a personal hero of mine. Goddamn coward Jack McCall >=|

  • @PappeH Wild Bill was only in Deadwood for 21 days before he was murdered, so the show was being historically accurate. I do agree with you though, the scenes with Bill were the best, they should of made a spinoff about Wild Bill's earlier adventures, starring Keith Carradine of course.

  • Mad this this show got canceled.

  • this movie remind me that comedy that in 15th century the guy wearing the Rolex wrest watch. this people talk like 21th but playing at 18th. its bring the quality down. keep swearing like down town LA.

  • @lordoftheflam yeah because a whole bunch of 'golldarns" wouldn't sound rediculous

  • 3 Fuckin' Cocksuckers! Motherfuckers pressed the wrong damn button!

  • i looked up on family tree and i am blood related to william hickcok

  • @ryanrodriguez18 you'd got to be the coolest mother fucker ever

  • nice :) Still cant believe they didnt give this series a 4th season :(

  • To settle the argument as to who got the kill. Neither. THEY'RE FRIGGIN ACTORS!!!!1

  • @godbluffvdgg wow thats one of the lamest arguments i've heard in quit some time

  • @DDAANN1985 Reality is a bitch! Ain't it?

  • @godbluffvdgg meh thats ok, but I mean...then you could talk like that about everything that has ever been made or published in a tv series, adventure book or comics....it's called entertainment :P :)

  • James Butler Hickok never killed a man in Deadwood, ND

  • @Khoutekkelly No shit, but what about Deadwood, SD?

  • my money would be on him as well

  • Wild Bill clears the holster miles ahead of Bullock, you can see Bill's pistol aimed directly , whilst Bullock fights his coat and holster to get clear....first smoke blazes from Bill's 6 shooter ...would never have been a contest between those 2

  • I like the later epsisode were Tom Mason's boss, Persimmon Phil hears the story of what had happened from Al Swearengen.

"He threw down on Wild Bill Hickock?"

  • @mcmillspiece Yes Mate your comments are spot on , you would have to be Mad to Draw on that pair ,

  • COCK - SUCKER!

  • Yes just the once but at times Sol Starr and Dan Dougherty return with there bands and are at Wild Bill Days in Deadwood. I haven't got to it for last couple years.

There was supposed to be more series to Deadwood I wish they could be made. But I suppose the stars out grew the series.

  • I was flipping thru the channels one night and caught this exact scene, it's what got me hooked on Deadwood. Second greatest TV show of all time

  • @LizardKing97051 What's your #1. I'm watching DW for probably the 5th time and it's one of those shows you can just watch again and again. Sopranos is #1 for me and The Wire is #2....Deadwood might be my 3rd though. It needed at least one more season to settle things for good between Bullock and Al after Hearst left. God I love this show!

  • @stevo0665 well you'll think I'm nuts but #1 for me would be Little House on the Prairie, and no I'm not kidding

  • 0:39..no question who fired first.

  • Seth+Wild Bill, what a combo they would've made.

  • Only two men could take on Wild Bill: Johnny Ringo and Doc Holiday.

  • @MynameisSylar1 I'll be your huckleberry

  • did bullock even make a shot? holy shit wild bill was fast

  • Best show ever made. I can never get tired of it and realize every time I watch it how loaded every line is meaning for the bases of the show and what it contains in other ways. Just fabulous for all the lines and wit. You are from Illinois possibly? One of the most wonderful times in my life was talking about the pilgrimage of Deadwood fans to the cast that came out to Deadwood, S.Dak. I got to be present at the gathering. The stars were just fabulous kind people. The day was ours as fans!

  • @brokenwingb4 that would be awesome...did they do it just the once?

  • Seth Bullocks ghost still huants the bullock hotel in deadwood

  • Im related to Wild Bill ^.^

  • @cajoby Or like a family member long distant was related to him...

  • @cajoby So am I whats your last name?

  • @DillonPrim1995 Gagliano, but it was on my mothers side who's name was cross. Back then though it was changed when she came to the states

  • @cajoby Ya it was on my moms side to, her last name was mcnaught.

  • @DillonPrim1995 Well someone on my mom's side had a one nighter and got pregnant

  • @cajoby lol ya I just found out I thought it was pretty cool none of my freinds believe me so im trying to find proof.

  • There is no way you could appreciate this show in subtitles. Not that it wouldn't be good, but Deadwood's use of language was like Shakespeare meets Pulp Fiction. I guess it's possible that the translators were absolute geniuses but I can't imagine that you could get the meaning out of each scene with subtitles. This one was simple, but there were so many scenes in this show where the language was so subtle that it took me multiple viewings to understand the underlying meaning.

  • @edmarshall3 Excellent summation. I did not fully enjoy the depth of the show until I got the DVD sets and was able to replay some of the scenes where they used the Shakespearian(sp) dialogs. One of my many favorites is Al's, while they are waiting for Hearst to view the body. The one about "The play of the lie is mine, deception failing I stand for virtue alone ...." or something like that. The show had some great writers.

  • ehhhhhhh 8/10

    Rome > Deadwood

  • @Kampex You're sniffing glue.

  • @TechMaven you're on your period

  • @Kampex And your username sounds like a tampon brand!

  • @TechMaven ........every time >: (

  • @mcmillspiece Probably the best comment I've read on YT!

  • Great series. Westerns are the best. English wasn't the easiest in this but luckily we have subtitles here in Finland. Olyphant's Bullock was great beacuse he was all the time so angry. Carradine great as allways. Ian Mcshane one of the greatest villans.

  • BRING IT BACK, YOU HOOPLE HEADS!!

  • Nothing like it!!!!!

  • I wonder why Wild Bill...I was born on his birthday.....used 1851 model .36 cal Navy revolvers that needed black powder hand loads with a primer placed on each chamber, instead of updating his arsenal with the 1873 colt? Most of Gemini's do stay attached to things though.

  • My money'd be on you.......yeah, mine too!

  • well said sir

  • Hickock and Bullock: Twin bothers of different mothers.

  • @tuxguys More like two sides of the same coin.

Both men were calm and precise and could kill a man the way you would zip your fly. But Bullock was a merchant and lawman who avoided trouble if he could help it, whereas Bill was a professional gambler and drinker who spent all day in saloons with young, cocky drunken cowboys loaded to the teeth and looking to challenge "The Man".

It was precisely this reason why Bill ended up dead on a poker table at 39 and Seth died in bed at age 70.

  • Their are times where I wish I was born back in the days of the wild west. I'm actually pretty fast with a gun.

  • stfu

  • @spamllpitdept well I'm not a fast shot, but I can draw my gun really fast. I own a colt 45. replica and a gun belt. I have been training.

  • well fart me a lullaby

  • BEST TV SHOW EVER

  • Best series ever made. Period.

  • Keith Carradine's portrayal of Wild Bill was absolutely AWESOME!! It was as if the REAL Wild Bill was there on your TV screen.

  • This song written in Deadwod ...Listen to it..."TEN TWENTY LENNY"

  • Man, i wish times were still like this. What's more bad ass then a fuckin Cowboy ? all we got now are stupid punk ass " Gangsters" who wanna be like " Soulja Bitch "

  • 40,000th view!!!

  • greatest show ever goddamnit

  • Total fucking badass!

  • now he gets to sleep forever. i love happy endings.

  • i was just in Deadwood South Dakota. i learned all about it. (wild bill days) now im hooked on learning about it.

  • The current deadwood is nothing like the old deadwood. That sucks, it's all flashing lights and everything. If you went to the bar that Wild Bill was killed in, there were tank-tops that say Deadwood Diva. Now that is horse-shit that people made those shirts and placed them in the bar that Wild Bill was killed in.

  • the saloon # 10.. yeah ithas changed. but hey what do you expect? deadwoods famous and is only going to get more flashy.

  • I know. America has gotten to soft. I wish you could still pack firearms in bars and poker tables. People wouldnt have to endure soft cunts running their mouths. Actually I think people would probably get along better if there was a constant and imminent threat of death.

  • Whenever I read the Holy Bible, I always picture Seth Bullock as the voice of God.

  • :-)

  • Last 3 seconds rule.

  • Hell yeah!! Fucken Gun Fighters Rule!!!

  • Wild bill is such a badass. It's such a shame he was murdered by the town's drunken coward!

  • Jack mccal :P lol the towns coward.

  • Nice scene of one of the best shows ever. In 1876 though, Bill wasn't doing much shootin'

  • you would have to be the dumbest cocksucker to try to fight wild bill...let alone another person on top of that

  • Unless of course you shoot him in the back of the head, like a coward.

  • @warftrat87 And Seth Bullock was known as a hard bastard as well.

  • .....timothy olyphant....

    <3

  • You've obviously never watched Deadwood

  • Montana

  • deadwood..was so great

  • yap

  • Is Wild Bill in Deadwood alot? Is he one of the main character??

  • he's only in part of the first season because he was shot in Deadwood while playing poker at Nuttal & Mann's Saloon No. 10. and that is true to history

  • i know, i think it sucks that you don't get him more... keith carradine really adds an extra layer of class... just see dexter season 2 for more proof

  • Oh, he's Lundy in Dexter isn't he?

Too bad Bill dies so early, he was my favourite character :(

  • Love Deadwood!

  • Deadwood is a testament to character actors. From William Sanderson to Brad Dourif to Powers Boothe. We've all seen them in a hundred movies or tv shows, but until they come together and shine like they did in Deadwood, we never seem to appreciate them fully.

Did anyone remember W. Earl Brown, "Dan" as Mary's retarded brother in "There's Something About Mary"? I didn't, until I looked it up. Thats how good these actors are.

  • well said

  • took me 10 episodes of Dexter to figure out Lundy was Wild Bill

  • Lol.. I didn't realize it before you said it now :D

  • Same here.

  • Timothy Olyphant always looks as if he's stifling a scream

very good for the characters I've seen him as XD

yays Deadwood, violence to the MAX

  • No.. you have got that one wrong !!As Seth Bullock ..he was wonderful !!!!

  • Timothy Olyphant: Worst choice to play Hitman ever?

  • i thought olyphant did a decent job as the hitman. he has that completely cold as ice look upon his face and comes across as a moderate bad ass. that is the basis as to what i would expect an hitman to look like. much like matt damon in the Bourne movies. who would have ever though matt damon could play a bad ass?

  • jason statham would've been a much better hitman. he's made twice as much action movies as olyphant and he does his own stunts.

  • That first season of Deadwood was still the best in my opinon. I mainly enjoyed the first four since Wild Bill was in them. Great writing and acting, it will be a shame to see this series conclude.

  • no show comes close

  • There ain't much shootin' on Deadwood, but this was a good one. Wild Bill (Keith Carradine) was trained by the best... Thell Reed

  • Oh really? You mean his Twist Draw? He did a great job as WildBill

  • I cant beleive theyve canceled this D:

  • this show is definately a work of genius as is the sopranos.

  • I can't believe they shot him for trying to scratch his leg.

  • Best show to ever grace TV.

  • I just love this show! Man, I miss Bill...

  • BEST SHOW EVER! This is an awesome clip. AFTER SEASON THREE THERE ARE TWO DEADWOOD 2 HOUR MOVIES COMING TO CONCLUDE THE SERIES... not enough but good news just the same!

  • I thought those movies were scrapped because they couldnt get all the actors on the same page (HBO released them all from their contracts). I hope the movies come, but I'm not holding my breath seeing how HBO is conducting things now. Anyways, I have to agree with the above posters.. the 4 eps with Wild Bill were awesome. I wish he was on the show longer (I know he dies in history, but I mean, I wish he had more screentime prior to his death).

  • Wow, when my e-mail said someone responded to a comment on a Deadwood video I was shocked. I didn't even remember posting it but after reading this 10 months later I ask myself that question, whatever happened to those movies they promised? I don't know. The new show, John from Cincinati, the creator of Deadwood is doing has at least actors from Deadwood in the show already.

  • I am not good on names but the guy that drove around Wild Bill and was looking out for him and the crazy guy that was one of hurst's men that killed the whores.

  • Yeah those guys are top-notch actors. Dayton Callie (Charlie Utter, Bill's friend) and Garrett Dillahunt (Francis Wolcott / the droopy-eye'd guy who shot Wild Bill). Dillahunt had an appearance on an episode of Millenium season 3, which was shot long before Deadwood I believe, and he was first-rate. Deadwood really had a good batch of acting potential.

  • Yeah, well last I heard HBO released all the actors from their contracts, which.. in showbiz is kind of like laying them off. This means they have no obligations to the studio, so they all go their separate ways and get new projects (some were on Lost a couple times, and as you mentioned, John from Cincinatti). In a recent interview with Milcher, he said he still wanted to produce those 2 movies to wrap the story up.

  • But look at this way, if every actor was released from their contract with HBO, it would be near impossible to get them all back on the same page for 2 two-hour movies. Unless A) the movies were scheduled for a much later time, allowing them to schedule the actors. or B) Not every actor would be signed on for the project. Either way it sounds like a shot in the dark for those movies because HBO released the actors. :(

  • So sad! I'm still hoping. Also the actor who played Mr. Hurst was on Jericho as the father. I refered to him throughout the season as Mr. Hurst when talking about the show to others and can't remember the actually name of the character he plays on Jericho.

  • Haha. Yeah, well, Hurst was such a dominant character on Deadwood, I can see how that could happen ;)

  • I have to wait for the third season to come out on DVD because we dont have HBO

  • I can't believe they cancelled an award heavy show, with 12 wins and 35 nominations for a 'surfing drama'! Now that's a damn shame; though I must admit I miss Hickock, but it was brilliant tv and this clip really shows it. Something tells me HBO will come to regret that move! Thanks for posting it!

  • Glad you liked it. I do too. It's my favorite show ever. When i have time i want to post more highlights on youtube. More comments or suggestions welcome.

  • @illini50... I'd like to see where Calamity calls Mose Manual a "tub of Blubber 'n Guts!" I think it was in Season 3.

    Thanks

  • I love this show
