  • damnnn i hate thisshit with mpc 1000 and Cd FUCKS !!! where is digin ! iu probably using drum packs ....... ehhhhhhh CDs

  • @noxuification i'm new to all this, i understand digging and fully appreciate it but when it comes to drums...instead of drum packs are you supposed to chop drums or what?

  • Can you put CD's into the MPC?

  • @Sytrusze no

  • Patch phrased it? Also what are youre pad settings man you're barely touching them. When I switched over to JJOS 3.11 I have to practically mash them now, especially in trimming.

  • nice beat brotha

  • Hey bro

I have been mucking round with my 1k for a lil bit now. When your live chopping as in here. Have you got your tempo set to the same as your sample?

    Sounds sick, love it!

  • nice beat man, some happy shit! YEAQH!

  • any suggestions on where i could start?? i already got my mpc 1000 i have a turntable i know i'm missing something. what else would i need in order to get samples up and running? Thanks:)

  • well....if you got a mixer your ready to go

  • slow it down, its too fast! keep at it tho

  • why is the metronome going so fast?

  • Its going twice as fast as normal because like that the time correct works more precisely. At least thats my experience...

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh aiight ima try that shyt on my 1000. thats the main thing i mess up on. gettin the tempo and TC straight

  • @LutoneTube No shit? I've seen quite a few videos where people have fast metronomes and couldn't really figure out why. I know some people are using no timing but other times I've seen super fast tempos, confusing or maybe just different workflow...

  • nice!!!!! good sample choice.

  • yo man can i get this beat ... is so cool..

  • Send me a message with your e-Mail adress and I will see what I can do...

  • Your not BOON DOC? nice beat tho

  • it was a reply to his video. lol

  • ur good man...

  • Liked Tha Rolland MC-505 Man i got it too :D

  • Isn't it a 303?

  • ohh maybe you right

  • Dilated Peoples sampled that guitar in the beginning of this vid in the song worst come to worst so nice

  • Man when he did that kick and snare line it sounded like the drop from stevie wonder's that girl...dope

  • Thx! always good to know that motown is near...

  • yo man, im broke ass but im saving, you sound like you know whats goin down with the MPC, should i save the extra for the 2500 or is the 1000 good enough, i mean your beats sound sick on the 1000, like does it do everything you need? do you ever think, shucks, i shoulda just put the money up and got the 2500???

  • I have never used a 2500. so I`m probably the wrong person to answer this question. If you start producing the mpc 1000 got everything you need. But if your aim is to be a professional producer, I would with the 2500, 5000 or a good software (thats cheaper...). I hope that was helpful.

  • Go with the MPC1000 and buy the JJOSII operating system. JJOS will make the mpc up to par with MPC2500 functionality wise but minus the extra midi outs and assignable outputs.

  • the bassline was dope

  • nice

  • sik bro nice

  • mwoa

  • wait... the chorus sounds the same to the original sample. the beat sounds cool tho. and the bell sound.

  • at the bigginin the lil intro wat is dat ? from 0 - 5 seconds

  • William Bell - I forgot to be your lover.

  • Lovin the vid dude, if anyone would like to watch more mpc videos please feel free to pass by our channel sometime we are trying to create a hub for all the best mpc videos with real people making music with the highest standard.

  • yo tell me your from D-Town...... SICK

  • The lick at the start, which Dilated Peoples , amongst many - sampled for Worst Comes To Worst is A track called I Forgot to be Your Lover off william Bells 1968 Stax LP, Bound To Happen. The vocal sample is from Mobb Deep's "Survival of the Fittest. Hope this helps

  • How do I record and save drum samples on the mpc? I have some drum samples on vynal I want to load and use in a beat.

  • man..that was cool ...real cool..but it just dnt sound like hip hop ..sound slike an actual funk record or like somethign from an original record...you definetly got to slow that shit down ...ur talented tho keepw orkin

  • BIG BIG

  • hey what equipment should I buy with this to get started

  • What do you mean exactly?

  • an mpc, a usb record player and decent monitors. or get software and a midi controller. software can be free if you know where to look

  • deadly but would sound better a bit more slow

  • Phat!!! good use of samples!!

  • whats the instrumental in the begining to ??

  • Dilated Peoples - Worst Comes To Worst

  • That guitar lick at the start of the vid...Killah Priest used it before them (Dilated), nice track off his first album, heard it used a few times since (just like on this vid), not sure of the source material, guess i'll look into it...

  • or Ludacris - growing pains

  • .............

  • its a pretty obvious sample though.

  • Some good happy up beat shit... Keep it up Lutone!

  • yeah its a response dude. notice the ''re:'' in the video title

  • which 1000 is better out of the black one and the blue one?

  • WHERE DO U GET SAMPLES FROM....Do i need a Disk or do i need DJ equipment ??.... like what do i need to Use a Sample on an MPC...And how much is the MPC1000 and the MPC2500

  • the mpc-1000 costs about 850,- Euros and the mpc-2500 is available at around 1260,- Euros.

I think you can upload any piece of sound... it depends on what you have: records, sample libraries, selfmade stuff... look at some of the beat-making tutorials on youtube...

  • Thanks man and i already download samples from a site....i just wanna know what type of equipment i need for the MPC 1000 people say not to get it yet like learn more before you get one...like do i have to get THIS and THAT...like What do i need unno what i mean??

  • naw the mpc is a pretty stand alone device. u'll need a usb cable to drag samples and other from ur pc, but other than that thats all u'll need

  • thanks man...doesnt it usually come with a USB cable??

  • no prob yeah but if u cop a used one u might need to go out and get a cable but they're cheap

  • ooo ok thankz...i would be lucky if i found a used one and in good shape haha

  • lol wat country u in, ebay can u hook u up

  • im in US Jerzy damn thankz ur were a big help seriously...imma get my Mpc on christmas lol

  • lol no prob dude, i was asking questions once too dude

  • WHERE DO U GET SAMPLES FROM....Do i need a Disk or do i need DJ equipment ??.... like what do i need to Use a Sample on an MPC...And how much is the MPC1000 and the MPC2500

  • what is that song called with the guitar that's always between the parts??

  • Put That Woman First- Jaheim

  • or growing pains by ludacris

  • ....Or originally by William Bell- I forgot to be your lover.

  • you need to midi the mpc to that roland and you it for drums bass strings.

  • did U manually chop the sample or did U use the auto chop??

  • Great sample, but those drums aren't working on it.

  • been trying to save sample on my MPC 1000 all morning just says 'Create Error' never normall have any problems can anyone help me ???? cant find anything on google thus far : (

  • i need an mpc!

  • an mpc 1000? hell i gotta get one of these!...you n boon make excellent tracks with those things!

  • This was actually a nice enough flip!

  • Sorry, from which Song is the very first Sample ? ("MPC 1000 Live Session")

  • the sample on the intro is william bell i forgot to be your lover.

  • shit is that a tb303 at the top?

  • No its an MC303

  • lol

  • man i c that mc 303 in the background. do u still use that?

  • no I don`t use the 303 any more. but it was my first drum machine and on it I learnt the basics. but the sound quality is too bad...

  • Hey Lutone! Great stuff! I like it :-D Stay Soulfull! Cya

  • Merci! und du blib flockig...

  • your a tool....

  • whats the name of the song in the intro?

  • The original song is " I forget to be your Lover" By William Bell... LUDA sampled the riff on "Growing Pains"....

  • No, the person who most famously sampled that was dj premier on a track with Dialated Peoples called Worst Come to Worst

  • I didn't say that to argue who sampled it best, I was just commenting.....

  • yeah man, people be sleepin on DP

  • sorry it wasnt premo, it was Alchemist

  • how much is an mpc 1000

  • I paid for the full option version 1500 Swiss Francs (=1200 Dollars). But I think you can get it cheaper.

  • Ok another noob question... how did you chop up the parts to the Al Green track to be able to play it across the pads - what is the name of this function on the MPC?

Thanks in advance, and again, great video.

  • thx for your comment!

thats no function on the mpc. I just took small samples from several different parts of the song. so I had to play it across the pads...

  • mode-load pick ur sample press do it and assign it to a pad

mode-trim-slice slice the sample anywhere from 8 to 16 chops

convrt-data wheel to sliced sample-new program yes

    mode-program

press the pads and ur samples should be chopped

if u wanna pitch it select the pad u wanna pitch use the cursor go to tune and use the data wheel to pitch or tune it down

follow those instructions and u should be fine

  • so how do you get the bell and bass samples, i have a mpc500 and this has been a big problem, i have no bass samples. Do you use a program of some sort and use the mpc as a midi controller. im totally lost!

  • it was a joke. i know what boon doc looks like i have his myspace.

  • like it mate!!!

personally i`d drop the bell and replace it with some strings but thats just my opinion.

    nice work fella,

    peace out..

  • thx for your comment! I have always difficulties to make strings not sound too chemical...but its a idea!

  • damn i never new boon doc was that light skinned

  • I don`t think Boon Doc ist light skinned. his skills are amazing!

  • nice flip, keep at it this track is FIYAH

  • i like i like, bust out a mixtape shun.

  • thank you! I think I`m not yet good enough to bust out a mixtape. But we`ll see what the future brings...

  • This is kind of a noob question, I'm new to MPC's...

When you're recording drum tracks by hitting the pads on the MPC, if you're a little off time with one of your hits does it adjust the timing by snapping it to the sequencer or something?

  • Yes it does! there is a function called "time correct". Thats`s very practical.

  • only if quantize is on.
