Yea i know that, thats why i bought a 79 trans am. Its a cool classic for sure but doesnt hold a candle to these cars once you start looking at stock performance and their history. Also, the cars you mentioned although cool were back in the day just regular everyday cars. Everything had a v8. Sure you could get one and have the look of a muscle car but it wont run out like one. Although i gotta say dusters and darts are in exception, those just are last to catch up in value i think

@Dhoylandrules84 There were some fairly quick 79 TA's back then ( from the factory) but ONLY the 400 C.I. Pontiac powered model option. Most came with the boat anchor Oldsmobile 403 or the chevy piece of crap 305 C.I . Even the fastest of the three options ( the 400 C.I w / 4 speed only ran a 15+ second 1/4 mile. Fucking Federal EPA fucked up the muscle car era ( environmentalist whackos). The 79 was still a great LOOKING car and the 400 version was "respectably fast" at the time! Nice cars.

The Cuda is a '71 383 4 speed car, the Roadrunner is atually a GTX... 440 4 speed, the Challenger is the Hemicar. The only 340 car is the Dart GTS and it, too is a 4 speed. Thanks.
