whatever. I didn't mean for it to come across like that, I just really dont like having a bunch of pedals. Sounds really fake and overdone.. Oh wow I guess I might as well ask what I came here for.. how do you like the orange cab?
@CrankTheBass98 Well being as there is never more than one pedal on at a time, and that overdrive wont sound "fake". And that alll those pedals are true bypass, I would bet you couldn't tell the difference with them in or out of the signal chain. To answer you question, I enjoyed the orange cab for a few reasons, It had the most insane bottom end response, and never once did I have any issues with reliability or any sort of rattling. One thing is that it is VERY directional.
@CrankTheBass98 well, it's awkwardly shaped. One guy can carry it, its just an odd shape. Very directional cabinet, make sure you're mic'd. but great tone.
@Bigbud61 Yea its pretty unbelievable, If you can get your hands on the YBA-1A. The transformer is even bigger, 90 watt 2xel34. Hands down one of the loudest amps I've ever owned.
Yo, what input on the Traynor are you plugging into? I'm also curious about what your tone settings are on the amp. I recently got one of these but to me it sounds way too bright with not enough bass.
i cant see from here, and dont remember as i've gotten rid of it since this, but i would say i jumped the both together, dont be afriad to crank things on this amp its got an deq like a plexi, just crank everything and giver.
It starts out, rat, 808 screamer, screamer + muff, SCP, then the 404 clone, then byoc delay, then marshall delay, and byoc delay again, then byoc trem and boss ce2, then marshall delay, then SCP again.. then ends with the muff + screamer :).
Bro, gotta work on getting rid of the HUM!, otherwise, pretty nice...but the HUM!, May want to check the shilelding on the guitar cavity, or the have an electrician check the curcuit in the basement. Also, make sure all your power comes from the same outlet, and that you're not sharing that, with say..the washer! I don't know, what do I know>\?
Sounds great, but why are the head and cabinet on their side? I would think gravity would have a negative effect on components or tubes: of course im not a genius and I might be wrong, Awesome tone though, what BYOC pedals are you using?
how do u like your traynor? i have a traynor yba-3 custom special from 1969.... its ridiculous honestly.. its indestructible i crank it, its sounds amazing and NEVER blows... EVER!!! lol i put it through so much shit and still ive heard nothing better clean sound
i own a yba-2b from 1975.. greatest amp ever, i swear. the soundman at the bar couldn't believe it was only 15 watts, and neither do i haha.. i like a dirty clean to start with, then i destroy everything with a maxed-out big muff
Wow, grow up guys. Arguing over on you tube is shit

Sorry but I don't get it…
Did you put the head on the side?
I'm a newbie with big amps and well was wondering if you can just do it if you want.

@prehistoricpain not really.. you really dont take criticism well..

@CrankTheBass98 "too many pedals" isn't criticism, It's trolling. Different strokes for different folks. But troll on man, whatever.

I own a 1968 YBA-1 and the transformers just dwarf anything made by Marshall. The YBA-1 is basically a Plexi copy.

it sounds like a marshall plexi or I'm wrong?
clust90 2 years ago
I'd say, traynor yba1 is basically a clone of the marshall plexi.

that head gets better as you turn up the volume knob! and i mean exponentially better
andrewface 2 years ago
It was the one thing that made it useless to me most times, only sounded good ast about half on the volume, which is way too loud for any venue.
