  • That bass player has more pedals than my whole band combined wtf hahaha

  • fucking solid idk wat all of u r talking about with the mess ups it was perfect awsome job guys realy amazing

  • oh and that looks like a USF hat.. heh.. i could be wrong tho..

  • that was real tight man....

  • Hey i was just wondering wut pedal that chris V kid was using (guitar player) ,u see him using it in begining quite a bit.I know hes using the mesa channel switcher for clean/dirty tone, delay, and cry baby wah.If i was to guess the pedal is an EQ for boosting the signal? Wut do u guys out there think?

  • @stevefrench180 - I know exactly how you feel man, haha.

Man you guys are really good together, if you're ever in NYC lets jam out.

  • bassist - how much did your stuff cost at all? there'a a lot of effects and these amps - jesus xD

  • Guitarist doesn't move... perfect! Now If you only humped your bass relelentlessly throughout the song you could be Adam and Justin! I mean hell, your set-up is only identical!!!!!!

  • That was soo freaking awesome!!! Do you ever kick it and wonder if like Adam Jones is surfing youtube and checks out your performance... That would be the freaking shiznit,, he would be like you guys are great,, and you guys would be like. Liar,, your are not Adam Jones,,,Liar,,,, tooo cool

  • i agree with jaededify, i play guitar and drums, and i occasionaly play bass with my friends, and i can play with fingers or pick, but i actually prefer the tone of the pick, i honestly dont think technique matters, as long as the playing is accurate and tone is good

  • @rollinballproduction

the right technique lets u play faster and more accurate than u could imagine

  • before the cops came???

  • every time i listen to tools music i feel right down about my own band. like whats the point now theyre already more awesome than we will be

  • Im sending a message to every little faget who thinks that playing bass with a pick is wrong! first off i highyly doubt the people doing that play bass or any rock instrument for that matter and just stupid uneducated arogant fucktarts

  • whoa, this kicks ass. i wish my mate and i could play shit like that :D instead of just rocking on the xbox

  • great job brothers

  • that was an awesome performance. keep it up screw the police! lol

  • you're beef is strong!

  • dope .....................good cover you and your boy should do some lamb of god and post it i would love to see it

  • That was awesome Guys. Greetings from Germany!!!

  • bass was nailed guitar parts were a bit off. tell your guitar player to leave his amp on the dirty channel and just roll the volume knob back!! on the album, at about 4:20 the bass and guitar play slightly delayed to eachother, whereas you guys played it together.. but thats all i noticed.. fucking nice work though, not many people even attempt what you guys do!!

  • the cops came to rock out i guess. |,,|

    haaha

  • It must be awesome to have a friend who plays equally well on guitar ! and you guys gave a killer performance!!!!

  • where abouts are you boys from? your fucking maddd (Y)

  • Cops probably came because how high they need the volume for a camera to pick it up well. Some disturbing the peace stuff or something.

  • pro cover bys! awsome XD i love this song.

  • Lmao, cops? Wtf?!

  • Cops??? Whats that about?

  • another amazing Tool cover from you guys, fucking nailed it, Wheres Danny man lol.I played drums for years with Danny Carey being my idol, can't do the solo tho.

  • what was the QUAK at 2:31 ? other then that i loved it

  • hahah that quak is what i call improvisational integritational annoyance, or otherwise enjoying the disturbance of breaking the silence of a complete rest

  • Nice les paul buddy, realllll nice.

  • real nice guy's, great finale!! power on beavis....

  • what kind of effect do you use for 46&2 on bass? only boss bf2 flanger? thanks..well done..

  • DAMN! If I was a cop, I would've broken down the door and started doing my best Maynard impersonation!

  • Lol, here in Italy if someone calls the cops 'cause someone is playing music, the cops would laugh in their face!

  • Then Im moving to Italy

  • haha count me in

  • Fuckin` old people with their god damn Steely Dan and their dumb ass cocktails and bath robs

    and adult diapers!!!!

    Just wanna cap `em!!!!!!!

    Metal on!!!!!! That was awsome!!!

  • Wish i was there :(

  • Epic man! Haha matress covering the window very make shift =D

  • it was prolly the old hag in one of the nearby houses complaining about that DANGNAMIT RACKET!

DANG NAMIT RACKET MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    *headbangs*

  • same here, ive got a bass and the only other guys i kno that can play anything are frickin gomers.

  • who wuld call the cops for this?!

neighbors should appreciate the local talent, right?!

    :)

    i would

    l0l

  • @lruiz12 price you pay to kick it in suburbian hell...my parents used to threaten to call em didnt even have to worry about my neighbors...plight of the musician and the music fanatic lol

  • again, great job

  • it's awesome that you cover tool dude, they're my fav band and they have unique sound that is hard to emulate. from the videos i've watched so far you pretty much get the job done really well.

you and that guy should definitely start a band if you haven't already, cause there needs to be more of tools influence in modern music.

  • Great job! I wish I could have found two guys like you to play guitar and bass when I was looking for a band to play drums for. Keep on playing Tool because they are amazing.

  • just cause they can play tool doesnt mean they would be good in a original band no offence

  • epic video good work lads

  • you guys rock, hey man i wanna flanger for my bass, but you said that the boss was to artificial in your other video, which flanger could you recomend me, thats good cuality and cheap!! thanks bro

  • TOOLbassplayer says he uses a DOD Flanger, they are usually going for $30 or less.

  • bass good,guitar ok.

  • oh and i forgot to ask

what wal model is that? is it the one justin uses?

and were did u get it kus i cant find a wal anywhere

  • hmm

i was wrong to judge so early

    sorry man

  • I love you guys!!! Thank you!

  • And I thought u guys where good on your Schism video.. This is just motherfucking mindblowing! Keep it up, screw the cops and crank that fucker up!

  • What flanger do you use?

  • I find it hilarious that someone could hear this and their first reaction is call the cops it's too loud.

  • Foot dance duel at 3:21-3:45, 5 stars. Too loud for the neighbors 3 stars. Ratings disabled: 0 stars

  • ahahah , you are rich? , nice equip

  • Go Bulls!

  • That is the gibson right, not epiphone? And what pedals do you have there for the guitar?

  • I must ask, what equipment was the guitarist using. Including pedals?

  • they have a video with the overview of his pedalboard in the related/more from sections

  • very nice, good job guys

  • you guys are incredible. nice job

  • Great played. I like it :)

  • I'd like to sing this one with you...

    :)

  • That part was flawless....where was the screw up?

  • I agree, no flaws there man, but lol, i bet the cops love you!

  • @TOOLbassplayer Man there was no screw up it was flawless...awesome shit.

  • @TOOLbassplayer

Correct. You played it like the album.

I liked the part before the drum break, you guys did it really well. Its not easy playing 7/8 for 7 measures, then then adding 2 notes on the 8th measure. Good work.

  • damn man, where do you get all the money for the amazing equipment you own??

    fantastic cover!

  • lol he has a job maybe

  • Perfect. I play along with it on drums.

  • fuck yes. i suck and am just learning how to fuck around with this on a acoustic, i cant wait till i can be all badass and jam out with someone elese. fuck yeah. also, i dont know much about what im talkin about but mannn you got alot of pedals..mr bass man.

  • i love it when the bass player has more pedals than the guitar player lol

  • I should move into your house and drum for you guys.

  • yepyep i can dig it i think you know by the way you play tool that tool gives out a certain vibe that you just cant explain ever listen to it when your fucked up or maybe listen to the weird tool shit like viginte tres

  • The cops did not come during this song (watch my lost keys/rosetta video) and I certainly did not screw up any bass parts....lol

  • does anyone know what effect does Justin use for the intro part?

  • flanger

  • my favorite tool song. you should have tried to find a stingray to borrow or something because i'm pretty sure justin chancellor uses one for this song.

  • Only on the album he did....well, actually for the first couple of shows in 1996 he did as well but it sounded so clanky and shitty live that he switched to the wal and never went back. =)

  • thanks man. you know more about tool than me probably so i thought id ask you. i enjoy watching your videos.

  • what bass r u using ?

  • Wal bass

  • is that a Wal?? like JC

  • yes exact same bass

  • I get chills every time I play this song, this song fucking kicks ass!!!

You guys did a great job!

  • Nice

I still don't know what effect Justin uses, No one answers me =P, does it cost much ?

  • In the beginning? Flanger

  • does he uses much of different effects maybe ?

  • dude go watch my effects video and learn. =)

  • BS, My buddy and i are from Muskegon Michigan. We are huge Tool Fans. I play Guitar and he Plays bass. Where are you from in Michigan?

  • Near perfect! Very good dudes! Keep sending more Tool covers! Try to play Sober from Undertow. Really damn good.

  • that was almost as good as my porn...almost gj

  • very nice job spot on

  • Well... all I have to say .. I'm a cop in the great state of Texas.. and if I call a loud music call and showed at your house with you guys playing this damn good... I would demand that you played at least one more before I left.. then I would have to ask you to turn it down so the bitch that called wouldn't complain.. hah.. kick ass guys..

  • hahahahahaha...BEST....COMMENT....EVER!!!! The funny thing is when the 2nd cop showed up he asked "Were you playing Tool? Man I love Tool"...

  • y did u have to take down tooltabs man?????!!

  • Haha. In the lovely little state of Michigan, all the hicks around here listen to Country. Only me and my friend listen to Tool.

Probably 'cause we're both from California and we're both fairly intelligent...

  • HAHAHA!!!!! That's funny as hell : P

  • lol that sounds like the best, and worst cop ever lol

  • Have I seen that guitar player doing tool stuff by himself on youtube before, or is that a completely different dude?

  • Different dude

  • The guitar player needs to roll back the volume back instead of switching between channels. Adam hardly ever uses a clean channel as opposed to rolling the volume back to about 1 - 2

  • dude he knows that. He just did not want to do it.

  • Creative license. Do what the hell you want, as long as it sounds good to you and your happy with it.

If that means adding things or playing it differently than Adam, the fucking so be it.

  • Absolutely spot on! Killer job, keep it up!!!

  • Props to you, very well done.

  • fuck guys, incrediable! Get a drummer who's as good as what he does as you are, and you'll be fuckin amazing. I was actually air drumming to this you guys, totally solid. !!!!!!

  • WOW.. you guys nailed that song and its one of my favorite songs but damn sick cover. keep em comin

  • ahhhh...this is so great. im drooling over your musicianship.

  • This is absolutely unreal, guys. You guys are tough as nails when put together. I love it. So does this mean when Tool kicks the bucket, I can count on you guys for new Tool songs? You guys are very impressive. I loved it. Now its time for Schism.

  • great cover, definetly needs drums though. U should Ask matter311 to do a cover of that on the drums then send u it and combine the videos.

  • Whats all that hissing at the start of the video? I have been thinking about getting rid of my pedalboard and going digital, I know that don't sound smart but i am sick of all the noise and hum i get from the line of pedals i have.

  • It is Chris's amp. The bad thing about B52 is it is very noisy. He needs a noise suppressor to quiet the hiss. =/

  • nice job. i loved the bass. the guitar was alright. seen it live and the riff b4 the solo was a bit off on the guitar. sounds fucking Cool. after all no one can play it like they can. even if they have the same equipment. dammit that wal is so sexy!

  • My absolute favorite TOOL song and you guys nailed it!!

  • Very nice job guys, if i close my eyes I can't tell the difference btwn you and the real thing

  • So this got the cops angered? Well, that's what Rock/Metal has done for years, pissing off the ones in charge. \m/

  • You guys are fucking amazing!

anyone that has the passion to play tool together are simply awesome!

i look up to both of you, you are both amazing musicians...

    I play tool aswell..

but only on a very very basic level!

no where near you levels yet.

    amazing guys!

    Phil

  • nice

  • What's up at 2:31? I'm not trying to be an ass, I don't comment often anymore Brad, but it sounds like he hits his high string on accident on his upstroke.

  • those must've been ignorant redneck cops with little taste in music and big, disgusting mustaches =(

  • Hahaha, damn cops... I had a neighbor who when i was playing (playing=all the day) he take his spekers out of the window playing classical music, i lke classical, but it was war...Metal vs Vivaldi, thanks he is not mi neighbor anymore...

  • Hey who's the dude you got to play with you? Freaking people calling the police.

  • jesus christ, thats sounds exact.

    JC

  • it's pretty darn close. =)

  • this is awesome. A+++

  • what do you mean "before the cops ruined it"? lol.

  • i think he means the cops came because they were disturbing da peace lol

  • It's pretty much impossible to disturb the peace with Tool.

If I heard Tool playing somewhere in my neighborhood, I would shit my pants and run there in a second, guitar in hand.

  • Tool brings the peace. The fuzz ruins it.

  • WOW!

  • gaddamn

  • What kind of pedals is the guitarist using?

  • niiiiiice... really fucking nice...

  • Yeah that was sweet

The energy of the ending is amazing ;-)

  • fanfuckintastic.

  • how'd the cops ruin it is it illegal to play tool?!

  • You've gone and uploaded 46 & 2 twice.. and I don't know which I should watch!

  • I love the wattage you have between the two of you. I wonder how loud that must have been with a freekin Marshall Stack!

  • not a marshall...

  • BAD FUCKING ASS!!!!! and did chris there make that adam jones mod to his guitar? (swaped out pup lol)

  • of course...

  • Funny how people keep asking if that's opiate when the dudes build is clearly smaller and the gear is different : P

  • Damn that sounds great. It makes me miss my old guitar player, him and i used to sit around and play tool and some APC. Thats alot of fun playing it when you have someone that wants to jam with you.

  • haha wow even your friend has the same gear as adam

    nice work

  • Nice one u both sound great! Shame no drummer for the solo haha, oh well still sounds fab.

  • is that opiate?

  • no my friend Chris. We were in a band before but it did not work out. We cannot find a drummer who wants to play Tool. They are all afraid...LOL!

  • completely off topic but it seems like the guitar kind of drowns out your bass playing. not so much on here, but on rosetta stoned. you might wanna turn up your amps a little. maybe its just my speakers. or the camera. who knows.

  • lool

  • *cough* =P

  • that gut pwns opiate

  • Does your wife and kids like Tool or it's like family and they have to put up with all the noise I do? |:

  • Awesome, that's so cool that you finally get to play Tool with someone.

  • This video helped show your friends tone and skill much better then the other video. Good stuff!

    Take care

  • Kicks ass, I agree dude, but who's the guy on guitar? You two should do more covers.

  • KICK.

    ASS.

  • it's ironic how the bass has even more pedals than the guitar, nice performance!
