@lefebvrer3289 Those people were told to evacuate, but they didn't. They sat their on their lazy bums waiting to be moved by the government. I wouldn't need the government to move me if a huge storm was coming. The federal government is not responsible for providing for these people, unfortunately, before Katrina, New Orleans had the highest percentage of welfare recipiants of any city in the country, those bums never did anything to take care of themselves (other than loot and steal).

@dunkelfier I’m kinda wondering where you got that idea from. Detroit has had the highest welfare rate since 2004 and was also labeled the poorest city in America in 2005. And since when is it not the governments responsibility after any disaster to help the people? When I pay my taxes id expect the city to dispatch the National Guard after a disaster. Because I pay their salary correct? There here to protect and help Americans correct? I thought they were American? AM I wrong here?

@lefebvrer3289 Those people don't pay their salary first off, actually, the taxpayers pay their 'salary' if you want to call it that. Granted, the federal government WAS actually ready to go in, and so was the military. You can thank Governor Kathleen Blanco for saying 'no, we have this under control' to the federal aid for so long. But the whole point is, if the government is not able to help, then you've got to be the one to help yourself, that does NOT call for looting and stealing.

@dunkelfier How the hell do you expect them to help themselves? Everything was gone? After a disaster of that magnitude everyone needs help. I can understand the looting of food and clothing but not the TVs and vacuums. But there was no need for the n word! And there are plenty of white people out there that do the same thing! And as long as I pay my taxes if it’s used to save one life white or black it was money well spent!

And, when did I EVER once bring up the word 'nigger'? Never said it, never thought it. I don't see skin color when I look at the people in this video, all I see is people looting and stealing, many of whom WERE stealing your tax money for their welfare checks before Katrina hit. NOT money well spent.

@dunkelfier In a mandatory evacuation the police have to patrol the city forcing people to get out. Now I don’t believe this was a case in New Orleans, but also no one anticipated the levees that are designed to keep the water out to fail! Blame them for the concrete right? I just can’t believe some people! Go sit on your porch with your shotgun and beer! Id figure that in this day and age there’d be less ignorant people out there!
