It's not possible if the majority of Muslims don't want to integrate into the western society or respect our culture, way out life, history and laws.
Here in the UK Muslims have their own driving schools, schools, shops, courts, etc. That is NOT integration, that is anti social. I find many Muslims do not seem to want to mix with non-muslims.
I honestly wish more muslims would integrate and mix into our society and enjoy life with non-muslims, but unfortunately I don't see it happening.

It is very hard to integrate into a society without being a citizen; even once you're a citizen it can still be very hard, but citizenship is the first step.

It should only be granted to people who have proved their loyalty to the respective country (minimally this involves abiding by national laws). Most developed countries have a 'trial period' before obtaining citizenship. New citizens can enjoy almost the samme rights and duties as natives of the country and this period is wisely used to integrate oneself into the society which one seeks membership.
New citizens do enjoy the same legal rights as those born in the country; however, this does not ease the challenges of "assimilation." It takes a long time to learn a new language, at least as long as it takes to become a citizen. Not only that, but new citizens, because they are still viewed as immigrants, often continue to face discrimination. "Integration" into a society depends not only on the efforts of the immigrant to assimilate, but on the willingness of society to accept him.
No one expects new citizens to learn a language in a heartbeat and very few modern countries promote assimilationist immigration policies. Integration has never been a walk in the park and will never be. If I was to move to Iran, I'd probably work very hard to earn their respect, similarly Iranians have to work hard to earn Norwegians' respect. It is inevitable when people from two different civilisations come together.
I agree, whenever civilizations or cultures intersect people from both sides must work to earn the other's trust. I would add that this applies to the society receiving the immigrant, as well as to the immigrant himself.
Nevertheless I find Scandinavians to be very welcoming to immigrants who work hard to become a part of our society. The question is. Can a muslim really say, that Qur'an was wrote by fallible being? Can muslim say that Qur'an should be reinterpreted? Because it's directly written in Qur'an that it should NOT be reinterpreted... and when you do reinterpret islam, you can reinterpret anything to anything (as Bahai's do, when they are turning every Qur'an statement 180°).
The thing is.... the less some movement follows Qur'an, the more I like it. I wonder what does it say about Qur'an....

When christianity came to Europe it adapted. Jesus never ate pork for example because he was born a jew.When Islam came to China it adapted. The mosqus are built like budhist temples and when china had an emperor they were forced to recognise him as a God which is really the greatest sin in all of Islam. How could questions of Muslim intregration even be raised? You can't give people something they don't WANT, like integration. It's not like they socialize with other Europeans and adapt to the European way of life. They're just doing their own thing. And the weird thing is, they way they act is way to extreme to call it "just maintaining their culture", like how Europeans still do over in America. They don't integrate yet they want their own rights, like Sharia Law. They're simply taking over.

It's not possible if the majority of Muslims don't want to integrate into the western society or respect our culture, way out life, history and laws.
Here in the UK Muslims have their own driving schools, schools, shops, courts, etc. That is NOT integration, that is anti social. I find many Muslims do not seem to want to mix with non-muslims.
I honestly wish more muslims would integrate and mix into our society and enjoy life with non-muslims, but unfortunately I don't see it happening.

@Zildjian285 i am a british muslim and most of my friends r mixed..i do not stick to just muslims ..so if u go out and go to mosques ppl will talk 2 u ..sometimes recent immigrant groups stick together as do other ethnic minorities ..but that is not cos they r muslim....that's just the way it is..but 2nd or 3rd generation muslims in the west r more likely to be more integrated because they do not find that particularly country alien to them as their parents who r from abroad

@Zildjian285 i do see it happening, here in France many Muslims mix with Non-Muslims, maybe its only your neighbourhood or something cause iv been to the UK and i see the mix as well. also, you have jewish courts operating in the UK, or jewish schools, shops etc so are they not integrated? the only place i see in Europe where there is no mix, is between the indigenous europeans and the immigrants in general whether they be muslim, christian or atheist, not between non muslims and muslims.

Citizenship is the first step toward integration; Whether or not you choose to exercise your rights as a citizen reflects to what extent you choose to or are able to integrate.
It is very hard to integrate into a society without being a citizen; even once you're a citizen it can still be very hard, but citizenship is the first step.

Citizenship is not a human right, it is a privilege that you earn. It should only be granted to people who have proved their loyalty to the respective country (minimally this involves abiding by national laws). Most developed countries have a 'trial period' before obtaining citizenship. New citizens can enjoy almost the samme rights and duties as natives of the country and this period is wisely used to integrate oneself into the society which one seeks membership.

No one expects new citizens to learn a language in a heartbeat and very few modern countries promote assimilationist immigration policies. Integration has never been a walk in the park and will never be. If I was to move to Iran, I'd probably work very hard to earn their respect, similarly Iranians have to work hard to earn Norwegians' respect. It is inevitable when people from two different civilisations come together.

We are however not kindly disposed to organisations or communities which challenge the very foundations of our society. Womens' and gay rights, free speech and freedom to criticise religion are inalienable rights to the citizens of our countries and must be enforced at all costs.

That's where youre wrong:Since democracies are run by the people, the people can choose to reduce immigration. Eg. if immigrants from Arab countries dont seem to integrate as well as e.g Chinese then a state may put Muslim immigration on hold.We may also have to since the unemployment rate among muslims are extremely high.Most men are on welfare and of course the women stay at home.Its taking a toll on the welfare state,so yes it is affecting the economy, just in the opposite way that you think.

Secondly, you seem to be anxious to give muslims credit for the development of sciences which in fact did not take place because of the rule of Islam, but DESPITE the rule of Islam.
