  • Okay... I officially love you! =)

  • Brilliant. loved watching it. Didn't realise so much was going on in the verses. Well done.

  • Mate 100% brilliant. I'm a big Jam and Stranglers fan - the boys would be proud of you!

  • 10/10 mate.

  • Great job man! The other guys on here suck shit your great though!! Bruce would be proud!!

  • Do you do requests? How about Fast Cars by Buzzcocks?

  • stunning bass! great tab!! :D

  • guess you play with one all the time then

  • oh shiitt

  • i personally dont play with a pick, but they bring new dimension to play bass, and he is using it very well. im just sayin dont judge.

  • well said, i play using fingers but there are parts that are so much easier to play and sound better playing with a pic, i sumtimes use my index finger pressed againt my thumb while playing using the nail of you index finger as a pick

  • i play with a pick and whenever i do it i have to go and gay it up with someone

    so you're right well done

  • Great palying - just one constructive comment - play the notes with a little more punch and snap in the verses - they are tending to run into each other a little - I used to play this song when I was in a band over 25 yrs ago - memories - excellent job - nice sound too. If you are a Jam fan try and see From the Jam with Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler - superb live!

  • Hey, I'm buying the new tribute in natural, but I'm using it for a different style. I play with a pick but I do stuff like Tool, and I hear this bass comes pretty close to that sound. Any input?

  • hey yeah alot of sounds to be had from these basses and i heard tributes have usa pickups etc so should be good for money,i got rid of mine now too many options i prefer passive one volume one tone is bout as much as i can cope with ha ha

  • google is ur friend!

  • try "lipstick vogue" by elvis costello

  • i learnt it by ear sorry dont use tab

  • Awesome to hear this! Back when I started teaching bass that song was always one I made the kids learn when they didn't know who they liked and wanted to learn "a real song"...that or Talking Heads. I'd like to hear some Elvis Costello on a G&L bass

  • Yes I reckon this guy could nail some of those elaborate Bruce Thomas lines. He is a much underated player.

  • cheers for the feedback, will look up some elvis costello basslines and see if i can post some up

  • Note perfect ! Excellent playing.
