  • Bill Pearce saved my life when I heard his voice on "Night Sounds." As I got to know him through this ministry I found out that he played the trombone and ..... HE CAN REALLY PLAY THAT PIECE OF METAL.... This man could make it talk to you.. I met him on the radio in 1975 and I have listened to him ever since.. May he Rest In Peace as I know he is with the Lord in Heaven.

  • how i got you music i looking for 20 years someone give me a message about that thank a god bless you

  • The world has changes a lot since Nightsounds will Bill Pearce and not for the better

  • Aw, he was such a sweet person from what I hear of him on his program. His voice is soothing to me.. even after being gone from this earth.

  • Bill Pearce...a musical treasure. Incomparable flexibility, phrasing, range, class. I miss him.

  • This makes me cry. Although the fashions have changed drastically since the early 70's, and the equipment is much more sophisticated, you still just can't beat watching and listening to these good old fashioned mens quartets singing the gospel. It is so nice.

  • What a treat to find this song tonight. The tune was simpler than many now, but the words still resonate like they did back then. I hadn't heard Melody Four music in a very very long time. Thank you so much for sharing this with others. Until tonight I had no idea that Bill Pearce had gone home to be with JESUS. May his music and his Nightsounds ministry live on and continue to bless all who hear it.

  • I have a few Bill Pearce trombone recordings - he was an amazing man. Thanks for posting - you gents sound great!

  • Can anyone tell me the name of this song or where I can get a copy of it on CD or MP3?

  • I had no idea that he had passed away! I knew he had Parkinson's, as he had mentioned it a couple of times on "Nightsounds" -- in fact, it had prevented him from playing his trombone anymore at the time. And WHAT A TROMBONE PLAYER HE WAS! God bless your memory, Bill, and thanks for your work in His kingdom!

  • I still get Night Sounds on FM 100.7 out of Springfield (Ohio). I have been blessed so many times by Bill and his beautiful messages of hope and encouragement. And his voice....well, I've never imagined what God sounds like, but I bet He sounds like Bill Pearce. So strong, yet so loving and peaceful. Rest In Peace, Bill. You continue to bless us.

  • I happen to have an old record of this quartet. My dad purchased it in the 1960's.

  • Twenty years ago, my whole world collapsed, I lost my job and my marriage was just about over. One night, I contemplated driving over a floating bridge into a lake. Before I moved from the side of the freeway to the bridge, for some reason I hit the radio dial and "Nightsounts" was about to begin. Bill anounced the topic would be "Don't Give Up". It spoke about not ever being alone when you have

God on your side. It saved my life and put me back in touch with Jesus. Thank God for Bill.

  • @rainstormz28 That is so awesome! I, too, have been touched by this beautiful program. Just last week I discovered that a local station is playing reruns of Night Sounds. We are facing foreclosure and I've been laid off and battling physical pain. But after listening to Bill Pearce one night last week, I feel so much better. Encouraged and uplifted. I'm so glad to hear your testimony, that too is encouraging for me. God bless you!

  • When I first got saved back in 1981 I found Bill on my late night gospel radio station in town and was hooked fast at his peaceful sounds and stories that he always shared. He had such a wonderful insight of Gods word. I'll always love and admire this man and his ministry. So long my friend and enjoy your blessings now.

  • in my teens I fell asleep every night to bill pearce' s program nightsounds. I long to hear him sing "Cover Me" again some day

  • This really meant a lot to me. Who would have ever thought we could do this, back in the '70's! I was an abused wife back then, the mother of twins, and thought I would go crazy. I remembered Bill Pearce and the Melody Four when they would come to Gospel Center in South Bend. I "accidently" ran into Nightsounds on my radio and would look so forward to it. Thank God I got out of the marriage and was able to order the CD's and now can play them. I'm so sad he died and I just read it now!

  • Homesick in my first year of college, and 1000 miles from home, I turned on "Nightwatch" (the original "Nightsounds") in 1968 at midnight while in bed, and my heart was immediately awash in God's comfort as shared by Bill and his musical selections. Four years later, I invited him to be our main speaker and music at my graduation banquet, and he came sharing with us an inspirational evening I remember in detail to this day. He was one of the most pleasant guys in private as well as public.

  • i was very saddened to hear of bill pearces passing. he was one of a kind, and will be sadly missed.

  • I LOVED Bill's soothing voice and music on NIGHTSOUNDS!! God spoke peace into my life through him when I was searching for comfort and needed to know how to find my way back Home. It always seemed as though he KNEW where the pain was and the words to soothe away the hurt. I especially loved his reading of "The Wedding Prayer."

    Thanks for posting this.

  • I was very much sadden with the passing of Bill Pearce.I love his show,NIGHTSOUNDS that he had.It was a relaxing show and loved the music.I am sure going to miss him very much.

  • thank you SO much for posting this!

  • I have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Jorian: he epitomizes the term, "Christian gentleman."

  • I listened to nightsounds ever since getting out of the Marine corp in 1987, I feel that God encouraged me many times over the years through the ministry He gave Bill Pearce.I cried when I heard he had went on head, but I smiled as I thought of how glad Bill must be now. I'll miss him. Jeff

  • Mr. Pearce was a wonderful trombonist. He will be greatly missed.
