I have this cage and I made a bridge out of cardboard and taped it to one of the shelves and it worked like a drawbridge. You could lift it up an put it back down for easy cleaning and my hamster loved it. Another tip use a vacuum to clean the shelves. It saves time

However nobody that i have talked to has mentioned them being nasty just harder to tame and faster

Their fur looks a little greasy, dwarfs have naturaly greasier fur, you should get sand baths. I have one and its very helpful:)

That cage is way too small please do the proper research on hamsters before getting them, that cage isn't even big enough for two and I've seen that cage for sale before, hamsters need at LEAST 360 sq. inches of space. That was so cute you helping the hamster across the wheel. Yeah, my friend's dwarf had babies, so I was kind and had an extra cage, so I took one. It was so sad though, because when I set up the cage, he would sit in a corner and make these small sqeeky noises and I could swear he was crying. But eventually he got over it and was a happy hamster. He did die though, RIP Thorin.

@AndreiDan9 The males of the different dwarf hamster species fight very rarely and much less than the females. They are not as terratorial because they live in groups of up to 20, I have only ever had groups or pairs of male dwarf hamsters because they get along better. However no matter what their gender all dwarf hamster (except female chinese dwarfs) get along terrifically, but as with any animal sometimes personalities clash and you do sometimes get dwarf hamsters that fall out and fight.

i have the same cage but since my hamster always got on top of the whell i didnt want her to get hirt between the wheel and floor so i took one floor off and moved the whell over so she could slide off either way safely lol
