I really wish for a sequel where we continue to play after the bad ending, just imagine playing as all powerful Christof, destroying all vampire leaders, that would be amazing
I got the good ending but this one is better, except that he kills Anezka, that kinda makes the whole effort futile, she should have gone evil too, that would have been awesome.
how do i get this ending? what amount of umanity is needed for that? because with 70 humanity points i get the good ending, but if the humanity goes to 0 the game is over
I was shocked when I watched this ending during my first time. I was waiting for a good ending (I dunno there were alternate endings.) and I watched this. But I liked it! :D
Vudovlak was INCREDIBLY difficult for me. I had to use Walk The Abyss and spent all my money on Blood packs in the shop just to get him down to half health. God dang! Oh, but I did enjoy the Evil Ending I got.
With 90 humanity, I was only able to get the good ending.
I loaded up an earlier save, butchered a few civilians and with 35 humanity, I could choose which ending to get. The good ending takes by far the most work as you have to fight Werewolf twice.
I found the desire to get revenge on Ecaterina ("tell Ecaterina to expect a warm homecoming") for having taken his humanity to be an unexpected and convincing part of this speech from a former Crusader
Playing him as a good Humanist, openminded & forgiving (eg not dismissing the gypsy shopkeeper Unorna for being a witch) ends up with the 'Good' ending, despite 1 loss: Catholicism says Luther Black goes to Hell as a suicide, so don't help him; Humanists care for the quality, not quantity, of life
FYI you can once again play online using Tunngle, a vpn client similar to Hamachi that allows you to play in Multiplayer Lan mode. The difference is there is no configuring and there is one large Redemption lobby instead of individual channels and passwords. Get more info on our front page and forums at planet-vampiredotcom.

Giovanni diablerized Cappadocius (Antedeluvian) with no problem. Yeah, I know, remnant of Cappadocius's soul had survived but it isn't important now.

That carries with it memories, personality traits and certain behaviour patterns. Therefore, it can be said that the being that arises at the beginning of this scene is not Christoff, or the Zimisce fiend, but a merging of the two.

Well in both The masquerade and Requiem, a vampire is at his most basic nature just a undead beast who's only interest is to drink blood and survive. It's ones humanity that holds this nature back. Thats why one becomes more monsteres and prone to frenzy when it's humanity gets lower.

I think people that play Masquerade focus too much on generations. What about the strength of the kindred? It's not how thick Caines blood is that pumps in your heart, is it is how you use it!
I also don't understand why White Wolf can't just recognize redemption and bloodlines to be in another dimension... That would give game produces more freeway. Than the driver in Bloodlines could be Caine. Hell in an alternate dimension everything is possible. I think a warcraft 3 style game would rock.

I don't like this ending. Christof proves himself to be no better than Vukodlak here, and it just doesn't fit his character. That having been said, I don't think he was possessed by the Fiend's soul upon diablerie. Only a vampire with an unimaginably powerful spirit (like Saulot) could actually not only survive diablerie but take over the body of his diablerist. Vukodlak just doesn't cut the mustard to pull a stunt like that. I'd say only Saulot, the zen master of the Kindred, could manage.
Personally, I'd say it depends on both the Diablerist and the person who got Diablerie'd.
And I don't think Saulot's the only one who can manage to take over. After all, a diablerist may take on quirks of his victim(s) over time, eventually becoming his victim(s) unconsciously.
Although, with Christof's will I don't think that's gonna be a problem.

Tremere stole the gift of Caine from a 7th gen Tzimisce then a neonate, found the blood was too weak ,heard of saulot, found saulot and diaberlized him all according to Saulot's will ofcourse.
Diablerizing a methuselah is not wise cause in the core rule book pg 226 if the ancient has a willpower of 10 or is considerably older than u he can take over your body as in the case with Saulot and Tremere plus certain powers allow this to happen also.
If you could lower a ancients willpower u need not worry about him taking ur body cause ur just as old as he is

If you say "in game" as "in the computer game", the answer is: you can Dieblerize anyone.
In the Pen and Paper RPG you can Diablerize any number of vamps as far as I know, however people will know what you did (by using auspex)and hunt you down.
What does it gives? The book says something about boosted attributes, lower you generation by one (if you diablerized a vamp with a lower generation than yours), and maybe use of that Vamp disciplines; but it also says "it's up to the storyteller"
note that by draining all of a vampire's blood you don't really diablerize it. the book says that afterwards you keep sucking until you suck its very soul. otherwise you just destroy it. so I assume that in the computer game you don't really diablerize them (as there are no rewards), the only exception being the setite priestess if you choose to drain the blood of her heart, so you'll have your blood pool raised and a humanity drop

that's it, i'm replaying this again tonight. i had no clue there were multiple endings as i always got the happy one. (but then I always have 90+ humanity) And if anyone was curious, it does play on Vista...very well too!
Always picking the polite/heroic/reasonable responses. It's the dialogs that influence humanity mostly. Pick the responses that oppose vampire habits, stick with ones that defend mortals etc.
Interesting. I never knew there were other endings except one where he re-unites with Anezka. But it figures, since I've always kept my humanity level near 90.
i never ever managed to get the good ending... what did you do besides keeping your humanity high? i finished this game 4 or 5 times it always ended like this for me...
I haven't done anything earth shaking I think. Just kept to the standard 'good guy' responses. Apart from that I just managed to get my humanity up to 100/100.
This is stupid. I played the game as a "Good" vampire, but I drained the setite princes's hearth, and Vukodlak in the end. so I ended up evil. Why can't I collect power and remain good? (thoughts of a true neutral :D)
It all stems to that old addage, "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Besides, the power that you tap when you drain them is inherantly evil, excessive, and violent.

What about Professor X? He can control other people's minds through mental telepathy, and they have no choice at all. It's conceivable that some people have urges that work the same way, where they haven't the will power to resist. The same goes for criminal insanity, or brain injury/tumours in certain control centres of the brain. This is not to mention that even those who have the choice can still choose to do evil.
I think he won the contest of minds against the Tzimmisce but as someone in the background sayed during the clip. he abandonded all claim to his humanity. So that could be the beast nature that resides inside an vampire´s sub consiousness.m meaning that the Vampire Cristoff won over the Scarred human soul Cristoff. ofcourse that is mearly an theory

vukodlak is actually yorak who is 4th...when you diablerize a 4th you become a 4th but their soul will take you over because they are too powerful

If you say "in game" as "in the computer game", the answer is: you can Dieblerize anyone.
In the Pen and Paper RPG you can Diablerize any number of vamps as far as I know, however people will know what you did (by using auspex)and hunt you down.
What does it gives? The book says something about boosted attributes, lower you generation by one (if you diablerized a vamp with a lower generation than yours), and maybe use of that Vamp disciplines; but it also says "it's up to the storyteller"

note that by draining all of a vampire's blood you don't really diablerize it. the book says that afterwards you keep sucking until you suck its very soul. otherwise you just destroy it. so I assume that in the computer game you don't really diablerize them (as there are no rewards), the only exception being the setite priestess if you choose to drain the blood of her heart, so you'll have your blood pool raised and a humanity drop

that ending got me sooooo mad i got when i first played the game i thought he was going to reunite with anezka & he ended killing her and becoming evil after like 30 levels that's harsh back then i didn't know there were other endings but when i found out i played again & got the good what do i say i'm a hopless romantic :D

Always picking the polite/heroic/reasonable responses. It's the dialogs that influence humanity mostly. Pick the responses that oppose vampire habits, stick with ones that defend mortals etc.

I haven't done anything earth shaking I think. Just kept to the standard 'good guy' responses. Apart from that I just managed to get my humanity up to 100/100.

You can kill him in serveral times, if you cant defeat him in one time:
First attach him with powers. When you dont have enough blood, go to the monks, and refill your blood and attack again

This is stupid. I played the game as a "Good" vampire, but I drained the setite princes's hearth, and Vukodlak in the end. so I ended up evil. Why can't I collect power and remain good? (thoughts of a true neutral :D)

What about Professor X? He can control other people's minds through mental telepathy, and they have no choice at all. It's conceivable that some people have urges that work the same way, where they haven't the will power to resist. The same goes for criminal insanity, or brain injury/tumours in certain control centres of the brain. This is not to mention that even those who have the choice can still choose to do evil.

I think he won the contest of minds against the Tzimmisce but as someone in the background sayed during the clip. he abandonded all claim to his humanity.
