When I got my Snes, SMB World and All-Stars came with the system! I recall me and my sister playing ALL DAY EVERYDAY through the holiday break!! Close tie with SMB3!!

why was there only one mario and one zelda game on the snes, all i can say is thank god for the jrpgs they reli made the system, along with dk, mario kart and starfox of course... but still the snes era was the golden age for rpg's well the whole of the 90's were, cuz the ps1 was pretty good too, ff7-9, xenogears, legend of dragoon... plus it had alot of snes ports...

I recorded this commercial and watched it over and over when I was a kid, before I got the SNES. I would go out in the woods and pick Ginseng to sell and saved as much money for it as I could. I thought it was the most badass thing ever. And it was.

Nothing screams realism like riding around on a dinosaur with a bottomless belly whilst constantly jumping on massive bullets and turtles, smashing bricks with your head, staying underwater forever, eating only mushrooms, using stars to become momentarily invincible...all whilst being a plumber!

Still, one of my favourite games!

Games don't need to make sense to be good, they've just gotta be...well...good games!

But the game having, yoshi and the same powerups as in SMW1, including the cape, and the powerups not being timed like in galaxy

I was struggling to get by with the few lives they would give me in SMB3. However, Super Mario World was so easy that I beat the game with 100 bonus lives. Yoshi's Island was a better game.
