  • Lucy & Pat DiMauro - Monday, February 20, 2012 (Common People Era), 10:23 PM (Earth-Eastern Standard Time)

  • First time I've heard this ...and I like it very much. Thanks for uploading.

  • Kool vid of song they never waxed! Susan had a great voice. this is the tpye of stuff that needs to be compiled on DVD.

  • Cool vids like this gem beg the question what was erased by CBC, BBC, CTV, etc. Thank goodness we still have a few nuggets. Cheers

  • The finest indian percussionist in the business....

  • Ye,on the Let's Go show in the 1960's in Vancouver Canada

  • Thanks for posting this song! Having read many of the comments I feel I must say that Susan's enunciation and diction is simply first class and (I think) superior to Linda Ronstadt's. Having said that, I'm not a big fan of the slightly faster tempo of this version but overall I think both versions have their place. Did The Poppy Family ever do a slower version, with more instrumentation, I wonder?

  • @chygwelanmeneth The Poppy Family never actually recorded this song, which makes this post so very rare and special.I think Linda just about shades this one,but hey, two Angels voices...they could sit on my cloud and sing anytime.

  • sounds good. too many 60s songs are never heard on radi. just the same crap ever since retro 60s radio arose during the early 1980s.

  • The tempo is too fast. Kudos for Michael (Monkees) Nesmith for a great tune.

  • Absolutely brilliant, what a great sound. Love the percussion....

  • This is okay but The Stone Poneys version is better call me a stick in the mud if you want but the other is better.

  • these days it's hard to find anyone in the market for an eternal monogamous and faithful relationship.

  • linda ronstadt must have had a better record company cause she sure doesnt sing any better and not half as cute

  • @garybomb1

you are so wrong Linda [in the day] was magnifacent....as far as singers goes ..you must be tone deaf

  • Love this version.

  • @Maginel73 Agreed!!

  • What show is this from with the Poppy Family on it with pulsing psychedelic light show in the background?

  • @smokeemonkee It's from a Vancouver show called "Let's Go".

  • I don't know why I like this song so much, but it's a nice tune.
