  • i hate and love this fish

  • lol the slow motion was so necessary xD

  • Lmfao, i like how there is so many videos of fish and animals eating, and they all get abused for animal cruelty, but when its a beautiful fish like this there is barely anything? Those piranhas must be fucking evil bastards lol.

  • does this reminds u of feeding frenzy?

  • @cameroncc3 I believe in twinkies.

  • this isnt slow mo this is just bad lag.

  • 0:25 i found nemo

  • R.I.P. alfonzo... my pet lion fish 2010

  • I got stung by one of those >< My arm looked like bloody popeye's arm!

  • @mrlongboarding100 not at all

  • there is a lion fish in a pet shop where i buy my crickets for frogs i really want to get one of these they are sick. btw would $70 be over priced for just 1?

  • Are those endler guppies? If they are you shouldn't be feeding them as live prey, they are rare little fish.

  • PWONED!!!

  • those are illegal over here

  • Yes that is ok

  • could you answer something plzz i saw lionfish just like this one living in a 20 gallon tank is that ok ??? hope you answer, i ask this because im going to get one but i dont know if its ok to get a 20 gallon tank or a bigger one, cool fish

  • @mannurko try 80 gallons :)

  • @mannurko you need AT LEAST 55 gallons, and SALTWATER

  • @mannurko yeah 55 gallons is the absolute min! and thats with weekly water changes, in other words absolutly not, you also NEED a power head and in a 20 gallon there just isnt enough room for him

  • wow thats badass

  • People think they know all the shit about life and got it in a pocket somewhere. This proves them so wrong.

  • Did the fish just act like a super vacuum?

  • NOOOOO

    poor fish :(

  • DAIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmm

dis girl got styleeeeee nyc bite

  • Lionfish is fantastic.

  • Not cool. Coral reefs are being decimated by fish collecting for aquariums!

I love lionfish, if I could find one that's not in a tank but still on the reef.

Hawaii's coral reefs have hardly a lionfish left. Fish in tanks live much shorter lives than those on the reef. It's cruel.

  • AAAAAHHHHHH I LOVE LION FISH!

  • are lionfish poisonous?

  • damn nature, you scary!

  • @redpoopsicle okay i think you say this on every nature video but you fail your not getting thumbs up

  • damn, that was fast even in slo-mo

  • okayyy... that was fast. o.o

  • XD it's like, "hi little fish!" OOOOOMMMMMMMMMM :D

  • Random

  • More like Frame by Frame >_>

  • watch my slow motion video of a pinktail chalceus and oscar, im using a casio exilim ex fc100 at 210 fps

  • those fish are beautiful and exotic

  • If this is slow-mo then the Matrix movie is just a still frame..

  • it's still fast even when it's slow motioned man!

  • slo mo?... that´s stop motion^^

  • fish got owned

  • this is not my first time i saw that kind of weird animal. dnt u knw a cat fish if u put it in fire its still alive.

  • @chrystalgaga

cul spealing, wered u lernd id frum?

  • OM NOM NOM

  • do the tenticals kill other fish if it touch em?

  • no if the fish gets poked by it, but it depends on the size of the fish to determine if they are going to die or not

  • thats not good.!

    that is a poisonus fish.!

  • Okey, But i strongly recommend you to stop watching theese kind of videos if you dont like em.

    Regards Warax112

  • Unnatural? a lionfish's diet in the wild consists of nothing but small fish. Also, many lionfish dont eat frozen food right away, and need to be weaned off by the use of feeder guppies.

  • feeding lionfish feeder guppies/goldfish/etc. will ultimately lead to the death of the fish.. cant remember if its bad for their liver or something? but not a bad way to get it to start eating. (just an fyi for anyone curious)

  • yes you are absolutely correct with the high def and highspeed. The Cheetah 640cl has a 1730fps. I am looking at getting one soon and doing some super slow motion clips

  • @ryball2000 Could you please tell me where i can look at the Cheetah 640cl? i cant seem to find it anywhere

  • @ryball2000 How much does a Cheetah 640cl cost?

  • this beauty is poisonous, mine caught me while cleaning the aquarium, and stayed 3 days in a raw in bed with insane high temperature! I still love the fish!

  • @saopaulo2000 May I suggest a longer fish net? O.o maybe then you wouldn't have to put your hand in there = /

  • just cause its high def doesnt mean its a highspeed camera, pixels and frames per second arent even close to the same shit

  • I got it In a pet shop in Sydney Australia

  • @ryball2000 is is dnagerous

  • @JiflixIsGay it will split into little lion fish's and ninja attack you :).

  • nice fish dude

  • 0:45 Um num num

  • Nice lion fish!

  • PWNED

  • Saw this species of fish when i was snorkeling in Egypt, it's so beautiful!

  • lol the little fish got owned

  • The pistol shrimp has the fastest movement of any marine creature.

  • Om nom nom!

  • lion fish scare the shit out of me

  • you should be cause its poisonous

  • i've never seen a fish like that before!

    all *flappy* n *stripey*

    lol!

  • 0:14 "hold still so i can get you too"

  • I hear feeding fresh water fish can kill the fish

  • your tomato clown had two stripes O.o

  • thats because its not a tomato clown.. its a clarkii clown genius.

  • thanks ass hole

  • no problem dipshit

  • how long do the guppies last in the tank with seawater if they are not eaten by any other fish???

  • depends on the water condition

  • OMFG That fish tank looks like mine

  • nonsense...

  • lol

  • mine too..

  • well im not surprised since the volitan lionfish is a very popular fish

  • its really good

  • a beautiful fish...

  • Duh, you don't need a high definition camera to capture fast motion, you need a high *speed* camera, that's why it's still a blur

  • most HD's are also high speed... but you are right ...

  • 0.0

  • Ante xese re

  • our lion fish killed every thing. but it was worth it

  • The venom of a lion fish is enough to kill a child, and really harm an adult

  • Been keeping Lion Fish for ages and been stung not quite a few times. Apart from the stinging pain poison has little to no effect to anyone. Never heard of a death from Lion Fish just from touching

  • I'll buy one but only after my clown fish have grown up.

  • Make sure you don't get the common lionfish-- Pterois Volitans-- they grow anywhere from 12"-20" and can snap up any 4" fish. The dwarf lionfish species are usually cheaper, and most max out at close to 8". Plus if your clowns are at least three inches, a young dwarf lionfish might be alright now!

  • i was choosing between this or a trigger, and went with the lionfish......best decision ever!!!

  • ive been poked by a lionfish wen i was little. I stuck my finger in the tank. I didnt think it was sharp i thought it was soft lol. It was at one of my old friends aquatic center...Adam's Aquatics the firer fighters came...lol my finger hurt really bad and I was bleeding xD. They made me eat some tablet?!!?!?

    haha

  • that thing is fucking evil

  • killer11124 and they kill people right?

Very unlikely, unless of course you are allergic to the venom. But if you are stung by enough of them you will wish you were dead.

  • My lions eat like pigs. They will eat so many goldfish that their bellies look like they will explode any minute. They can barely swim for several days afterwards. I have only been spined once but man it burned like fire for about a half an hour.

I had 6 damsels and a clown in my tank that I used to cycle it. Once the lions got big enough, the damsels and the clown disappeared within a couple of days. GULP! I hated to see the clown go, it was a little Percula. Its anemone died of loneliness!

  • this lion fish problem sounds like the canadian great lakes ballast problem but with gobis from asia so when I go fishing and catch a gobi I feed it to my pirahnas

  • smooch smooch

  • can you keep a clearfin lionfish with two common clownfish and two banggai cardinals

  • dodge250 (can you keep a clearfin lionfish with two common clownfish and two banggai cardinals

Only if they are a good bit bigger than it's mouth. If not, they're goners, trust me.

  • Thats a guppy right??

  • Yep....I used to give the to him, very rarley though

  • with their Venom yes, but only if you don't get medicle attention RIGHT AWAY. I do beleive they have an antidote.

  • No...you cant die!! I know, this was my fish, his name is VOLLY

  • have you ever gotten stung?? if you have GAWD it must have hurt!!

  • i live in the bahamas and you are right but the real answer is to how most of them got into bahamas is the hotel atlantis they had them in their fish tanks and a filtering system put their eggs into the local harbor near by and they became a problem they eat everything and you can find them every where you swim theres nuthing to kill them

  • Lionfish have turned into a huge problem in the Bahamas. They are breeding like crazy and decimating local fish populations as it has not significant predator. They are not indigenous to the Caribbean and were probably introduced from people's fish tanks.

    Its unfortunate.

  • I guess it doesn't like yellow...

  • i heard there population is growing!!! when i went to the bahamas for vacation i found aleast 4 the lifeguard said this place is now restricted

  • i caught a lion fish once in the red sea. Its fucking hard to get it off the hook without getting stung, anyways i put it back in the water.

  • i live in bahamas on the beach and there are lots of lion fish out side of my house in the water big ones small ones i want to start a tank full of them like a 200 gal one would it work with lots of them i have the right stuff to catch them with im just not shur if they would be ok

  • hi i rly need somones help. I was wondering could i keep a volitan lion ( a small one ) in a 30 gallon for a month or 2 while i set another up >>>> reply quickly thnxs

  • oh i have a 30 gal. tank, what type of lionfish should i get??

  • how do u get saltwater for a tank??

  • put salt in water. ;)

  • xHansonxo thtas not a bad idea :D

  • asshole fish and assholes the ones who feed the fishes

  • I'm sure that yellow fish it didn't eat must taste better

  • they sell those at petplus there only 40$

  • it wasnty mine lol it mwas my mates he got had it for about a week then it died i would eat sum time like baby golds and krill and stuff like ya

  • Is this the type that strikes so fast it makes a snapping sound as it moves?

  • yep

  • my frined just got one today ut was 75 dollar canadian its a about med size its very nice but it wont eat we tried krill and a goldfish

but wouldnt take it should we do

  • well...they sell a special food 4 it...or a shrimp works too

  • a lil to late it died

  • .... im reeeally srry... buy a new one and this time take care of it ^^

  • how much dose it cost

  • The lion fish didn't die from eating live freshwater fish, but it shows you are thinking. It was due to several factors of the tank at the time.

I dont think there have been any recorded deaths associated to a lion fish.

There sting can cause amazing pain, so they are not a nice fish to pat on the back

  • sweet, never knew you could get lion fish

  • Lion fish is exceptionall beautiful, poor guppy though, lol!

  • you can die from them if you are allergic to bee stings.

  • yes because they are venimous

  • do you know much about fish lice?

  • no sorry my fish havnt ever had it you could look it up on good tho sorry

  • no sorry but you can probly look it up on google sorry i dont know anything because my fish havnt ever had it

  • This Fish was named Volly, he was with me for a few years, but sadly he passed away last week...he waited until i got home from work...looked at me then passed away...R.I.P Volly.

  • it probabaly die cause you were feeding a marine fish freshwater guppies which is nutritiously unstable for the fish because of the difference in fat deposites in saltwater fish then freshwater fish there for making the fish get more fat then protein and dieing from obesity

  • I see your Point, but he very rarely ate Live food at all, his diet consisted of frozen Brine Shrimp & Marine Flake

  • I probably shouldn't feed my ferret pudding cups and candy corn but it makes her happy.

  • .... pudding cups and candy corn? Are you TRYING to kill your ferret or do you just like seeing it suffer through the imbalance in nutrition? People like you make me SICK, you should NEVER own any animals, especially one that takes dedication. Go buy yourself a goldfish. Feed your goldfish pudding too, see how that goes.

  • 'Imbalance in nutrition?' That implies that you know what else I feed her and how many pudding cups and candy corns she gets - which you don't. You instantly assume I am either only feeding her junk or feeding her way too much junk. A few pieces of honey based candy corn or a mostly empty pudding cup isn't necessarily a healthy treat for her, but frankly I could care less.

  • I can tell that you're a complete idiot, so I'm not going to waste my time any longer trying to explain LOGIC to you.

  • What logic? You have none. You base your arguments off of wild assumption. Explain to me again you know that my ferret is dying or suffering? You say that people like me make you sick, why is that? Do you hate the fact that I am keeping my animal happy by going outside of standard ferret owning procedure? Eat me. Now I am off to go split a pudding cup with my ferret.

  • Have fun, asshole. Hope it fucken dies and you kill yourself.

  • For the record, Slayerman is right and Stoopudjurcee is wrong.

  • Everybody!!!! You must check out Ryball2000 in his other video "WOW! Orb Spider wrapping a moth in slow motion".

    This footage is just amazing!!

You have some awesome posts up on Youtube, do you have any other animals in Slow Mo?

  • Ok what is lawtys360 problem. And aren't these type of fish like poisones. If you touch it you die or something like that.

  • They are poisonous, but humans won't die from it. You just get severe pains, headaches, and vomiting.

  • o ok but does i depend on your age if oyu die or survive. Like a 5 year old campared to a 28 year old.

  • Dunno, but it very likely.

  • not really theres verry verry few cases in record that people have died from its poison

  • K just wonderin. Thanks.

  • lawtys360...You are NOT welcome on this page!!!!

  • Awsome fish! I wish I had one of those. How much do they cost?

  • lawtys360. You need to learn how to type! I can hardly read what you type. I can get a bithch slap because I have a women. I really don't think that in kindergarden when they are giving you advise on how to do something they didn't call you a moron or an idiot. Just mind your business, and let this person figure out how to do it. I'm sure they don't want your advise.

  • queerboy now that isnt nice you closet homosexual , you know what they say anyone who says comments like queerboy are usually gay, go and see a shrink and fuckfree

  • Hey lawtys360 I really don't think that you have the right to call a person an idiot for having a lion fish in an aquarium with some other fish. qubier1 is right they are pretty peacefull. They can be agressive WHEN THEY ARE HUNGARY. Just because you know how to read doesn't give you the right to call someone an idiot. Guess what, I can read also. You aren't better than everyone else. YOu need a reality slap.

  • you moron your not suppose to put any other fish in with these for fuck sake theres to many people who dont know enuff on fish and how to keep them if u have lion fishes keep them on there own read some fish books u eeeeeeeeeediot

  • lionfish(volitans) are peaceful, extremely hardy and disease-resistant tank inhabitants that are well suited for the intermediate saltwater hobbyist.

    silly, go feed ur goldfish.

  • lawtys360 noob^^
