@XxrotorayxX YES! I believe it was! My son volunteered at Turkeytown when he was younger. I never picked up on that. Thanks, and thanks for watching...
@1jackdk no problem, i thought i recognized, they have some pretty sweet graphics on their trucks, they really stand out. And i think thats smithon squrt 17 behind it.
Everything was happening so fast! I wanted to go and get my tripod, but things where changing minute by minute. I was mostly looking threw the screen because so many people where around and I didn't want to be rude to the neibors. They did call CSX, and did have the hoses across the tracks. They just put a hydrant on the other side this past summer. Thanks for watching... Jack
The idiots where run out of town thank goodness. I had just walked in the house from a 12 day vacation in Canada and shot 2 hrs of CP-CN action. I just unpacked my stuff, looked out the window and saw the fire. I have been taking video footage since the 70's and do know how to work the camera, but in the heat of the moment, I just didn't check the settings. I could tell from the side screen, which I never use, what was going on. The house has been repaired and sold to a nice couple.
Sometimes do to space, the fire department has to place engine co. on tracks and around. Fire departments with railroads going through the town have radios to communicate with the railroad so that they can act safely together. in 2004, the fire department had no contact with the railroad, but as it turns out, the engineer had been texting 20 seconds before he hit and was over the speed limit.
We have no radio to communicate with trains. I am in Indiana and we have to call CSX in Florida. Alot of fires we have are caused by railroad maintenance. Nothing like putting out there tracks and having a train come though doing 60 MPH. After they tell us they have shut down the line.
We were told by CSX to call and they will send a crew out to place the lines under the rails between the ties if we need a hose to cross the tracks.
Hey, At least the trains stop for fire hoses where you live. In 2004 a historic business building was on fire in Lockland Ohio and the train just rolled right over th hoses. They say that was a major contributor to the building being destroyed
by the replies I assume the lucky idiot made it out alive AGAIN... not only do I doubt he will find much for willing landlords to rent from without a HUGE deposit but he should thank someone above that after burning 2 houses down he's lived through both... wish the same could be said for the owners of those homes.....
Don't know where these people are now Bill, or if they are even still alive, but thank goodness they are no longer in the neighborhood. We here in West Newton are far better off now with that lowlife trash out of here. Take care, and thanks for looking. Jackmp294
There may have been alarm, not sure. The house was rented to section 8 LL, and I'm pretty sure that the goverment has some sort of laws in place to protect these people. Anyway!!! Two house in two months??? Maybe these morons won't be so lucky the next time...
This was in West Newton, PA... I usually pin point the map for every video I do when I list it, but I never see a map on the page to view where it is...
I am impressed with the firemen how quickly they put the fire out,I wonder of they were using compressed foam? Great action video!

Great catch! Thanks for information.
Idiot a druggie?
Learn how to place your camcorder on MANUAL EXPOSURE and MANUAL FOCUS for situations like this.
Nice, steady video.
Hearing the train horn, I wanted to see what was happening.
It is good to turn attention (camcorder) to where your eyes want to look.
Did FD lay hoses across the track?
Dispatch no doubt called the railroad.

Good job! for having no notice.
Learn and practice placing camcorder in Manual Exposure and Focus so that you can do it quickly without losing valuable views.
Lucky the lights did not ruin focus. Vehicle lights at night often will do that.
Good steady video for being handheld!
Where is the idiot, now?
Hope the new landlords know abouthe moron.

What time?
SMOKE ALARMS.
What is the idiot's name so I don't rent to the moron?
Was he charged with Arson IV?
Any way to find out more about imbecile's fires?
Did a train stop?
Surely fire department did not lay hose across the tracks.
Thank you.
robertgift 3 years ago
Thanks!!!
10:30pm
No smoke alarms
Don't know there names, everyone here is glad the low-lifes are out of the neiborhood.
Don't know of any charges
5 trains held up by CSX dispatcher
and yes!!! hoses across the tracks to fight the fire. No other choice.
Thanks for looking. Jackmp294
1jackdk 3 years ago
Thanks for the details.
Sorry FD had to lay across tracks.
Good someone notified RR dispatcher.
A stopped train can cause the railroad BIG BUCKS because of other trains held up behind those stopped.
(At grade crossing collisions I heard one RR charges $6,000/hour.)
Meth lab? Moron smoking in bed?
All the dummy needs is a smoke alarm to awaken him very early in a bed fire.
Please keep your videos coming.
