Omg thz u helped me sleep when the football is going on and we can here the drums and I'm afrade that I will get beat up because of what this dude has been saying about my lil brother (can ennyone help me sleep) :s
I used to hear this on the venerable Curtis Mathis console. Mom was a big fan of classical music. Thanks mom for introducing me to this and many other pieces. Without you I might never have learned to appreciate truly beautiful music. Thanks for posting this, as long as people hear this, there's hope for us all.
@kentagonc actually Beethoven was in between Classical and Romantic and his music contained both styles. He always loved breaking the rules and redefining forms.
@l8rh8rz99 a few words: fuck that shitty shit. twilight sucks. and you are a retard. go rot in hell. with that piece of crap movie/book of course. (i've heard the books burn really nice and make a nice, warm fire.)
@xAnonymousss jeez wtfs up your butt? its not like i live for twilight ok? and fyi YOU are the retard cussing out people you don't even know. and if it means so little to you why even reply to MY opinion huh? i hope you burn yourself w/ that fire. god, some people...
@Thepizzaman456 "This is music for the gods." AMEN! "Eye hath not seen, NOR EAR HEARD, the things which God hath prepared for them which love him", says the Bible. With such geniuses as God has in heaven with him, and having only a foreshadow of the same through the works of classical composers here, I can say I'm pretty well convinced of that!
This song is at it's best when it's played slowly and with a lot of emotion. I don't get it why every version of this piece is played so fast as if each performer can't wait to have it over with. Maybe in some kind of music paper it sais that it is supposed to played this way (and in some parts it does make sense) but when i'm gonna be able to play this song, i'm gona play it better then all of those youtube versions =)
@sagebuzz I agree. I've heard several versions posted that just seem way too fast for the mood of the piece. I have a recording on an old computer that is just perfect - not too fast, not too slow. I've seen the sheet music for the original piano version, but I don't remember what tempo it's written at. It sounds to me like adagio - although Romantic music is positively rife with rubato and a piacere, so without looking at the score I'm really just guessing at how slow it was originally written.
@ThoraxTD excuse me, you don´t really get the point of this kind of music, and let me add that this music have been listened for a long time ago and for many people that´s why it´s called classical music and I consider that if tou only recognise this kind of music only for soundtraks of movies you have a lot for listen yet
Bitch please, classical music is that of Tchaikovsky and ol' Lud. Learn the English language before trying to write it before responding yo. And another thing, why on earth did you go half a year back on comments to be an imbecile?
@ThoraxTD Actually, if you want to cite composers, Tchaikovsky is from the Romantic period (roughly 1815-1910). Beethoven is considered somewhat borderline between the Classical period (roughly 1730-1820) and the Romantic. (Different sources will reference slightly different starting and ending years for each period.)
What most laypersons refer to as "classical" actually encompasses a wide range of developmental styles/periods over the course of Western music history.
Funny how confident I am that you wouldn't call me a layperson to my face. I'd appreciate the knowledge otherwise. Back to the basement, Internet hero.
@ThoraxTD You take my response too personally. It boggles me how everyone sees these forums as a means to utterly trash everyone else. I was, yes, responding to your post; but it was in no way meant as a, "You're a stupid MF'ing whore idiot, go die and rot while I F your mother, you're probably some F'ing troll who can't get a date on a Saturday night," or some other such adolescent nonsense. It was simply a clarification on the different classifications of western musical periods. Nothing more.
@ThoraxTD If I knew you in person, we could (I would hope) have a friendly discussion on these classifications - and, yes, I may actually call you a layperson to your face, if I found you to be. If I found you not to be, then I wouldn't, because the term wouldn't apply. Keep in mind that there is nothing wrong with being one.
@ThoraxTD And I shall point out, again, that I did not say that you, ThoraxTD, are a layperson. I said that what most laypersons refer to as "classical" actually encompasses a wide range of developmental styles/periods over the course of Western music history. It was, again, your assumption that I was directly attacking you.
@ThoraxTD I am curious, though, to understand the root of you original statement. "Stupid emo twilight loving whores." Where does that come from, the correlation of Debussy to emo? And by "twilight," are you referring to the books/films?
I thought searched for days for this song. I was beginning to worry i would die without ever hearing it again. Oh the emotion i felt when i finally led myself to this link...
