very nice. i love the sound of a supercharger. i have a 2001 s10 xtreme with the fleet side not sure if i like it without it after seeing it all the time. looks to plain. cant wait to supercharge mine. what was your pushing for hp?
I was wondering, does the Wynjammer have clutches and gear in it? Also, does the boost increase only with the rpm (higher rpm = more boost) or can you also obtain full boost at low rpm's too?
Where can I find a tuner in Nor cal? Is it the same tuner as the ones that do all of the LSx tune or is it someone else? Also, what A/F ratios are you running?
I not sure of any north cal tuners. Sry. I ran an almost perfect 12.0 a/f. Seem to be a sold A/F as it passes smog and I didnt have a single problem in almost 2 years.
What is your maximum boost? That A/F ratio sounds like the one that Wynjammer tunes too. Did you originally have his tune? How did you pass the visual on the smog? I heard that it's not a CARB EO blower.
6psi is what the boost was rated for but I never put a gauge on it...the shop that did the tuning...said the engine had alot more in it but they said in order to get that power they would have to bypass some safety features in the computer...I like to drive my cars so i wanted durability even if it meant I had to sacrifice...Wyjammers computer was broken kept throwing codes...also the kit is incomplete...YOU HAVE TO HAVE MORE FUEL PSI...if you dont you will blow the motor.
Installed everything to spec and my A/F was off the dyno charts which was at above 18 A/F...I was lucky I made it to the shop...It is not CARB legal...I took it to someone I had a long relationship with...but I think I could of got it to pass...I broke a belt once and the truck ran fine...The tune I got was outstanding...according to the guys I had more hp to the motor then wyjammers dyno...but because of the 20s I lost some to the wheels...My torque was still there though
did u have to beef up the engine or make the transmission stronger to handle the supercharger,im looking to do mine soon so im trying to get as much research to go about it the easiest,by the way beautiful truck,
Thanx! the tuner that I went to tuned the transmission to have faster shifts and changed the shift points as well...There were no mods to the engine other then bigger injectors...i will say this watever kit you go with you will probably have to install a bigger fuel pump...DONT drive the car hard till you get it to a tuner...my truck was off the charts lean before the tune. after it was perfect...
thanxs for all the information,i was wondering if u every thought about using parts from a syclone or typhoon to turbo charge your engine with,do u think that would wrk or just not match up
Syclone and Typhone parts a near impossible to come by particularly the manifolds with the y pipe as its call on our truck...However there is someone who made a kit...its very involved....i believe its made by DTS...if you go on there website and click "Products" then "General Motors" there are two kits....there is another out there but I dont have the link anymore
@BOOMymon yeah true i was just wondering if anyone have ever done it,cause i rather take that route than going out an buying like a 2 grand kit, how much did the dyno actually come out to be on hp and torque because if it isnt to big of a difference i think ill go with a all naturally aspirated engine. for example i heard you can drop 350 small block pistons in the 4.3 with a few modifications and it will add like 50 to 100 hp,an have you heard anything about the max energy programmer? thnks

another thing the stock drive shaft is crap...I would look into getting one without CV joints. GOOD LUCK!
