I've been watching "Generator Rex" and realized that there are some similarities between that & "Elfen Lied":

Both have organizations/facilities - EL deals with Dicloniouses, GR deals with egos [and are considered monsters]. Lucy has a split-personality/Kohta has repressed memories, Rex doesn't remember his past prior to the series. Kurama & Six seem to have similar personalities, and Dr. Holiday reminds me of Shirakawa. Both series can be surreal and sad.

Violence, huh.... stupid stories dressed with unecessary drama, un-original stories and violence, it's so dissapointing. Saint Seiya was great, Akira Toriyama's works, Hunter X Hunter, Robotech, Akira, even Samurai X was cool with its simple main story and complex context....

"Beauty of violence, artistic blood, etc".... sounds like fuckin twilight. Anime turned Dracula into a human's underling!! ...Notebooks that kill people... damn...

This anime is a real Masterpiece. When you see all this seperate clips on YouTube then you might think that it's an ultra violent and perverse anime. But when you watch the whole anime, you come to realize that it's not like that at all. This anime has a really good story which will give you a justified feeling for the violence. Having this justified feeling will also make you feel strange, because how can this be justified? You will feel sad, happy and unsure all at once. GO and experience it!
