What up phee! Hey I'm looking to get a passthrough. I haven't been in the market in a while so don't know what's hot, thought I'd ask you! I see a lot of them out there for crazy cheap, like $10, but I don't want a cheap pos, I'd like something rugged that's built to last and has a nice throat hit, 6v preffered. What would you recommend? Happy vaping :)
@llieske this one from puresmoker is the most rugged i've seen, unfortunately its been discontinued and i'm not sure if there's a worthy replacement out there for it. you could probably find a used one in the forums like ECF, vapersforum or newvapor but other than that the other PTs are not highvoltage like this one or is flimsy. sorry i wish i could be more help >_< happy vaping!
are you using a ihgh resistance atomizer for the 5vs? I am interested in getting one of these..... BUT, what adapter do you get to attach a 510 atty, and.... which type of atty are you using, is it special for high voltage?
@asmcriminaL personally i dont like to use HV attys or any type of special attys when it comes to HV vaping. i do like LR attys on 3.7v but i hardly even use attys anymore, i primarily use cartos now =P
@asmcriminaL also the used to have 510 adapters but i this specific pass through has been discontinued, i think you can get the main body in the clearance section and like a 901 adapter, if you want a 510 on it you'll have to get an adapter from healthcabin or altsmoke
@phee303 did you see my vid on how to use a pass through with a wall plug? I think its more powerful than a usb port if you ask me. If you want to do a video on that yourself, you seem to have a bigger audience that would be cool to get that word out. Also my battery pack for the pass through is kind of neat to. I didnt make it but I found it. I dont know how it will last for your PT but want want that PT. Hwo much was it again?
@Cartomeister hey thanks for the comment! yeah the PT this on sale in the clearance section at puresmoker. pretty nice vids you got there - yeah i use my PT on a batterypack made by kensington you can pick up from amazon for about $35 - as for the outlet, i have a crap ton of USB to outlet adapters =]
@nomoresmokes yes i got it aug 09 and it is still working strong, i have a friend that uses it non-stop for three days straight every week when he comes to crash at my house. the passthrough is a solid choice if you dont plan to use it outside your house, if you do want to use it outside the house i suggest getting a kengsington power supply ($40 on amazon). thanks for the view and comment!
@nomoresmokes Don't buy the new one... the original was a great device, and I still have a working one... however, the V1 and V2 Prodigy, Protege AND the new Stainless passthrough are more frustration than they're worth. If you don't want to learn how to solder, and you don't want to send your device back to PureSmoker a million times then get something else. I recommend a VP passthrough from vaportalk, or ANYTHING else that isn't Chinese.
I can never get as much vapor from my 510 as you do. I don't know how all you guys get so much vapor. Mine titan is not as good. I know the atomizer is working fine. I think my drawback is the cart or the liquid. I even sit here with your face in front of mine, drawing for the same amount as time as you do and youi get 10x more vapor. Hey Phee, thanks for your great videos:)
@Maxine0001 lol thanks for the view and comment! i cut most of my juice with VG unless they're already VG based and i also use HV devices, you'll never get as much vapor or throat hit on a standard battery that comes in the kit. you'll want a mod and/or a LR atty to get that type of vapor
How is that running at 5 volts off your computer- USB, as far as I know, is only outputting current at 500mA per port. Check windows device manager and you should see your USB hub at 500mA.. To get 5 Volts at low resistance like 2.3 which these attys run at you need over 2 amps. am I missing something ?
i'm assuming there's a capacitor or something built into the PT and generates enough to reach 5v? i use my PT on my macbook and my kensington battery pack and with a multi-meter i get a solid 5.05.1v raw output 100% of the time, now the voltage after u put an atomizer is varied and we cant tell but i guess i cant answer your question, it just seems to work lol
if you want one, you're gonna have to give me the mulah ASAP, the wait for these things are a very long tyme! they're so damn good they're so damn popular! lemme kno
Nice! Looks like Pure Smoker isn't playing around with quality materials. Looks like coax cable attached to a screwdriver! I'd like to get one but I am still trying to find the cost savings from quitting smoking! This is a "hobby" that can get expensive. Thanks for mentioning Rocky Mountain Vapor in another vid as they have very cheap starter kits so people can "try" an e-cig without paying $50+
One more thing...if you have a minute, do a demo on the "vapor bubble". That was a nice trick!
ah! that would have been a perfect example on how the cable feels! i should have said coax cable! i've given up on weighing the price differences between analog cigs and ecigs lol. yeah i love RMV!!!
the "vapor bubble" thing i'll eventually make it's own video, it'll be super short though just wanna get some more content for it =) thanks for the view and the comment!
Dude is that the NASA channel in the background? Rad as hell

I see that you received this in Aug of '09. Is it still working? I don't want to spend the money on it if I have to replace it every few weeks.
Thanks,
I enjoy your videos.
