You hear in the beginning that the "effect tube" wich dave uses is on and makes a slight feedback...Also if you listen to the drums you can hear that they are raw and not from a mixer, I play the drums myself so I am pretty sure about this. Also, the quality playing in a indoor studio like this leaves a more polished finish than hearing it from for an example from a stadium. The drummer also is a slight tad late on one of his breaks. So let`s agree on disareing:)

Actually it's NOT live. He backs away from the microphone at 2:44 and the vocal track stays intact. Also, when he transitions from the talkbox to vocals in live versions it's a little less smooth.
