I use a 1.7 cart on my Lavatube @ 4-4.5 Volts and it fogs my face off. I do wish I would have understood that it limits voltage lower than I would like it to before I bought it, but hey...I like it OK and I will no doubt buy more devices.....you know how vapers are...LOL
First and foremost, I have nothing but respect. I trust your word over many others. But your comments on the Provari do not fall in line with the majority of users. Not sure your statement was a fair or accurate on the Provari's value, quality, safety and the service of Provape not to mention the warranty. Value is relative to what you get.
@RonHarrisMe To be fair I have never tested a ProVari. I am making a price Vs functionality comparison only. If, and thats a big IF, the makers of the provari had sent in a Provari to be reviewed here, I might have been a little more convinced of it's quality for the money, however I, as a certified US ARMY electronics tech, do not believe that any "Step Up" transformer type e Cig will ever be superior to Voltage regulation, and step down type voltage stabilizers.
There's a whole lot of difference between a 2-battery mod that's regulating the voltage down to what you want, versus a Provari or Lavatube that is taking 1 battery and bucking up the voltage to what you want. Bucking up voltage means pulling more amps to compensate, so it hits the ceiling of how much current it can pull out of that battery, ergo hitting the wattage ceiling. Plus it's wanting you to use IMR batteries to get that higher wattage ceiling. Seems scary to me.
@steeljan Jan I Totally agree! I have never believed that the "Step Up" Transformer idea was grounded in solid electronic protocol. It is borderline imposible but certainly NOT the right way to achieve a set voltage at a strong wattage and amperage. This is why Neither the LavaTube OR the Provari perform well under lower resistances like dual coil Cartos and LRs. If it is true Vapor Production you are after, I say Always choose a big Battery Mod that utilizes 2 batteries regulated
@QCAssociates yes youre right for US standards thats not that cheap. but for european standards it is. its a lot cheaper then buying in the UK. ps, americans always get al the cool things first:( and cheaper. just to let you know, love your videos. so in retrospect i should have sad its the cheapest deal out there in europe.
Volcano does have them available, I ordered mine on friday 12/2 and it arrived on thursday 12/8. From the islands to New England not bad. The AW IMR red 18650's (w/button top) will fit without the gap, although the AW black POWER+ 18650's or the new 3100mAh AW's cause a gap. A quick solution is to toss an o-ring on the cap and you'd be all set for all types of 18650's.
Glad to see you making another video Dave.Keep the vaping community informed.I was honestly intending on buying a lavatube until I saw just how much it adjusted itself for protection on a low res/dual coil cartomizer.I don't believe I have anything standard resistance and didn't plan on buying any.Did just order myself a 5v box mod kit for the hell of it.Maybe one day I will quit being stingy and buy a Rubi.
Nice Video Dave, thats right The Truth Dont Lie, i love my RoughStack, and Omega, and my E Power, i think i found what i like but still Love watching vaping Videos, i got some Reserectors and they work Great and found them thru your video, Thanks Dave
