Golden oldie from 10 years ago. Top notch production, every word of prose painstakingly chosen. The guy that did the music...you know him for his "Intel Inside" logo. This spot looks great on the producer's reel. But what about viewer benefit? Does it communicate anything? Perhaps being a "high end" TV station still meant something in 1998. But today it looks like a nice though dated piece for a producers reel. The audience doesn't have the attention span for this stuff anymore.
I have the extended version, packed away somewhere, that was done with two voiceovers (one male and one female). This version is good, but the one I have will blow you away. I'll post it if I can dig it out.
This represented the professionalism of News 8 to a "T". I strongly feel that News 8 is the best local news in the country.

it won a slew of Emmys and was ripped off in other markets - total cost today only $5 per broadcast...thanks for the posting.

WFAA still uses some of the footage today for there newscast.
