  • It's funny how they have to pronounce each syllable or you can't understand them sped up

  • i dont really like it sorry

  • I prefer singing chipmunks

  • techno this up and you can have an awesome night club song

  • ROTFLOL

  • ross jr.?

  • it has to be a robot-ish voice. he has to talk like that or sing like that so you can understand them in the chipmunk voice. love the vid btw thanks for uploading

  • i cant believe they had to use adult voices to do chipmunk teenagers.

  • They need to bring Jesse McCartney out more

  • @masajball this was actually not sung by the voice actors. their singing voices are done by the original voice actors for the chipmunks; Ross Bagdasarian Jr., Janice Karman, and Steve Vining.

  • @evilshadowlover117 they did not do the original chipmunks, Ross Bagdasarian sir. voiced the original back in the late 50's and the 60's

  • they actually sound quite good ^w^

  • autotune??? lol

  • WTSHIZNICKLES!!!!!

    thats so random lol

Imma listen to this because I am just so kewl like that. GOOOOOOOO ME!

  • this is stupid

  • lol. ha-dab-ad-da-y. robotvoice xD

  • well thats weird.....

  • it is realy simpple the voice is cut with a program there is special tools eg. vocoder witch makes you sound like a robot ^^ and propably you just slowed down the original to get true voices?

  • sounds like hes a robot

  • yip fake..heard better

  • t-pain is not the voice of alvin..

  • It's not fake; it's just not the original before speeding up. They just used the instrumental version (yes, there is one) and slowed it down (and the reason it sounds computerized is that that's what happens when you speed up a voice, compress the file, slow it down, and compress it again).

  • First of all the they did this song in acapella there was no music so this is fake

  • @playboi182

They did the version used in the movie acapella, HOWEVER, the version included on the movie soundtrack was an instrumental version, not acapella. This user obviously used the soundtrack version.

  • sounds like the master chief robot with a deeper voice lolz ! thanx tho

  • plz agree:

    FAKE

  • The Chipmunks after they hit puberty! ^_^

  • lol

  • dude, i didnt know that t-pain was alvin......

  • lol alvin sounds live microsoft sam

  • it does to

  • Jesse McCartney sings as Theadore the small one

  • Sweet!

  • Ok...This post was made with Autotune. If this was their real voices in the movie they would sound like robots like they do in this video. In the real movie there was an actual acapella group that made their voices.

  • see this is why i cannot stand the chipmunks. sorry if you like them but dude.

they didn't write this song. the vocals are 100% pitch corrected. anyone with cakewalk or any other recording program could have layed down these tracks easily. don't get me wrong. i love the show. very funny. but the whole craze of them as musicians just shows how distorted america's view on music is. sorry if i bursted anyones bubble.

  • I agree with you that anyone could have done this, and that it really doesn't take much effort to do, but the fact is that someone did it first, and ran with the sound they created. Personally I am more appreciative of my music when it is legitimate and performed live, but if I find something I like the sound of regardless of how it came to be, I'm not going to hate it because it isn't real. Most bands' music is all studio made these days, some bands sound great, but are terrible live.

  • alot of people like to here some of thier favorite songs in chipmunk version.

like walk the dinosaur by queen latifah.

i have it in both chipmunk and regular version on my mp3

  • me too. i like da normal version better, though.

  • Wonderful, go ahead

  • It sounds better in Chipmunk xD

  • LOL!! IF A HIPPIE SANG THIS XD!!

  • lol it'll be funny if a hippie sang this

  • whos da rilly high voice around 2:30??

  • pretty sure thats jesse mccartney

  • Comment removed

  • no, neither he nor justin long and whoever voiced simon sang, they just voiced the talking roles

  • you just ruined alvin for me

  • he and me sound good when we sing it....love it<3

  • that sounds like weird al

  • Anyone else BEYOND tired of Auto-Tune yet?

  • Right here man, Sounds so fucking obvious.

  • sounds good if used right

  • @brojsimpsondotcom this is not their real voices i have herad there real voices. but the user who put the vid of their real voices singing things out there got deleted so did the video pissed me the heck of now i cant find it anywhere or their real voices

  • WOAH Thats freaky but awesome!!!!

  • This is....wow...any group who can pull this off is very talented, I do like this version, also, though it is only the slowed down of the movie version

  • I like it too, but this version is not slowed down - they just adjusted the pitch.

  • i love all songs you done my ps3 name is dustinstoy i think i saw u in gta4 or something keep rocking:]

  • does anyone know where i can get a download link> this is amazing

  • In Description.

  • don't worry what those losers who say you cheated say i really enjoyed it =)

  • lol

  • i have a singing group and there is just 3 us us and when we sung this song we sped it up and it sounded high pitched like in the movie. But unlike in the movie, there is me (a girl) and then my two guy friends so i am the most suprano in the group and it sounds so funny listening to your voice that high pitched! lol great job!

  • The Chipmunks' voices were recorded onto audiotape by voice talent talking or singing at half the normal speed. When the tape was played back at double speed, they would sound a full octave higher in pitch, at normal tempo. The technique was by no means new to the Chipmunks. For example characters in The Wizard of Oz were achieved by speeding up and slowing down vocal recordings. And Mel Blanc's voice characterization for Daffy Duck was sped up to some extent.

  • btw, I just got the dvd and.... just noticed that they indeed using the speed-up technique ( in the extras they said that ) and not the pitch o_O

  • SHUT UP!!!! HE MANAGED TO DO IT!!!!!

  • No he didn't. Look at the special features on the dvd if you don't believe me.

  • i was wondering what this would ACTUALLY sound like, im glad i found out :-D

  • sweet!

  • this is a brill song

  • lol i've done the exact same thing...changed the pitch lol its ya have to do people! lol well done anyways at some one else has a brain around here :P

  • Thank you! Someone who knows how to do it properly! *thumbs up*

  • You're welcome! Have a nice day!
