in answer to your questions (although you harldy answered my questions with anything other than angry ramblings, although i do admit the yasukuni as a valid point):
the 're-written' textbooks are no longer being used (even though many chinese people do not seem to have been educted about what has happened in tibet, for example).
the yasukuni affair, although immoral, was a political tool to say that japan would not back down to the chinese government every time it put pressure on japan to do or not do something. it was a shame that it needed to be this event that was used for it, but at the time it was deemed necessary for the gvt not to appear weak and powerless.
in reply to your response about what i said about the royal family, i will repeat myself. sorry i should actually rephrase it. he was a young man and had little to no political knowledge. therefore he saw it fit to take the word of these military officials that they would do what was best for japan and so he would respect their jusdgement. so, i suppose, ultimately he should be blamed for what happened, but what happened was not his doing, and by the end was powerless to do anything about it

the yasukuni affair, although immoral, was a political tool to say that japan would not back down to the chinese government every time it put pressure on japan to do or not do something. it was a shame that it needed to be this event that was used for it, but at the time it was deemed necessary for the gvt not to appear weak and powerless.

in reply to your response about what i said about the royal family, i will repeat myself. sorry i should actually rephrase it. he was a young man and had little to no political knowledge. therefore he saw it fit to take the word of these military officials that they would do what was best for japan and so he would respect their jusdgement. so, i suppose, ultimately he should be blamed for what happened, but what happened was not his doing, and by the end was powerless to do anything about it
