na dude im sorry good on ya for trying, just practice makes perfect. Try working on your technique though, you shoud be using wrist movements rather then using the whole arm- it conservers energy and reduces risk of injury.

You could say "You need to practice to stay in time, basically start with a simple beat and keep speeding it up while keeping it in time" but you have to be the worlds biggest douche, and just make him feel bad for trying.
