@manbearpigislost Piano only, would have been nice, but I think the synth drum beat went nicely also. I'd love to see Trent work on another ambient instumental album similar to "Ghosts" but with piano in every song. Maybe a little synth to compliment a specific mood, or expression, but definately an all piano album would be fantastic. I get excited just thinking about it.

Yeah, you flocks will attack me verbally for sure but, Reznor is stale at aspects. The guy is still an amazing producer and technical musician, but lyrically, the guy is fried. Ironic too, considering it's the complete opposite for his counter-part, Manson. Who still pushes out some decent lyrics but relies too heavily on others to make the actual music which has been garbage since Reznor told him to hit the bricks.
If Trent could spend time not making stale nursery rhymes, he'd be alright.

All I know is (as usual) he's not repeating himself musically (he never does). ; ) Every piece of work has been entirely different in comparison to one another, however similar in their conceptual philosophy (specifically albums like: "The Downward Spiral" and "With Teeth") and musical structure.
Imagine what a Nine Inch Nails/Trent Reznor music video would be like if directed by Alfred Hitchcock or David Lynch? Note: Trent had actually contacted Lynch in offering him to direct a music video but Lynch declined. Lynch had contacted Reznor to do the "Lost Highway" soundtrack and he accepted. Nine inch nails had a wave goodbye tour but he has mentioned some new work will or might happen for nin. He currently is married and in a band called " how to destroy angels " with his wife so yes he is still doing music I think nin is just on pause

though i agree with you in a way.. what is appreciated?? if you really think about it what are you talking about. being recognized by mtv, getting a lifetime achievement award, maybe a grammy, or all of the above. If you think of how long trent has been making music with little tv time or radio play besides the early 90's, and the fact that he is still making great music with a larger than life audience today, i think he has been more than appreciated over the years by us

I would be interesting to see what Trent's up to in the studio. All I know is (as usual) he's not repeating himself musically (he never does). ; ) Every piece of work has been entirely different in comparison to one another, however similar in their conceptual philosophy (specifically albums like: "The Downward Spiral" and "With Teeth") and musical structure.

Imagine what a Nine Inch Nails/Trent Reznor music video would be like if directed by Alfred Hitchcock or David Lynch? Note: Trent had actually contacted Lynch in offering him to direct a music video but Lynch declined. Lynch had contacted Reznor to do the "Lost Highway" soundtrack and he accepted. Interesting how things work out.
