Saw them live for the first time 01/10/2011 in Buxton, a truly magical night from my seat 6 rows from the front. Am also going to Swindon on the 11th, but this time I'm front row and have to go in medieval fancy dress LMAO. Great music and great fun.
And don't for one minute think Mr Blackmore is a sullen character, he and Ms Night could form a wonderful comic pair as well. Not laughed or had so much fun at a gig in years. Just proves you don't have to crank it up to eleven to ROCK!
I just saw Blackmore's night in York, England (30/09/2011) My advice is for anybody who is doubtful to just get a ticket and go see them. I was like that, being a life-long Deep purple and Rainbow fan. They were simply EXCELLENT! The DP/ Rianbow fans next to me were wondering whether they'd made a mistake, before the concert started. By the end of it, they were converts. I would go again tonight, if I could.
god of neo classical guitar i just wish id been alive in ritchies hey day in the 60,s and 70,s i dont really follow his work nowadays because im a hard rock fan and folk is good music but not my thing he did reunite with purple in the 80,s and 90,s but the magic of machine head was gone because no one was talking 2 each other and when he reformed rainbow with doogie white that was a mistake my first choice would have been dio and powell they were both around in 95 it would have been great
@andreszko Im not one of them, but my guess is because one of the greatest guitarists in rock and roll/metal history now sits at renaissance fairs and plays the lute dressed as peter pan??
Don't blame Ritchie. He deserves to be happy :)
