  • hey sir regarding your work there a newer version that made by the student here in the philippines check them out.. you all inspired us..haha! Engineer more sir.. =)

  • Very neat indeed. You might consider using a halogen lamp to heat the mixture just be careful of the plastic tub being melted, stainless might be better in that instance.

  • Hi thanks for your suggestion. So far, my current setup will do the job quite well. I will consider your suggestion for future improvement. Thanks.

  • hello sir I already upload the video here and entitled it with Automated PCB Etching Machine.. We still need some improvements with this project I just want to share the video.. =)

  • Good job

  • hello sir.. beacause of this video we make a new version of this machine.. I'll post it some other time.. we are inspired to this video.. me make this fully autmated.. :P

  • Hi Jam. Thanks for the information. I am glad that you've come out with the improved version. Please share your video asap so that very body will be benefited. Cheers.

  • For double sided boards. I would recommend you use film transfer method. You need to make sure both side are aligned properly. Thanks.

  • I use this, but I don't know yet how to align two sides. Any idea?

  • Hi. I would suggest you print the panel fiducial mark larger than your PCB. Both Top and Bottom mark need to be align when you route your PCB. Print the separate sheet for top and bottom. Align the top and bottom sheet by using light box if you have one. Glue three side of aligned transparency and leave one side open. You can slide in the PCB on the open side and close up the opening. This will make sure the PCB intact when you do the UV light exposure.....Enjoy.......

  • just one problem, I don't use UV anymore, I use laser printer + laminator, about 100 times faster this way... anyway, will just have to see what will work best

  • simple make a circle in both layers of the pcb, when you print the first side you also print the holes, then drill them , when you print the second layer the reference points are the holes,,,,

  • Thats all good and everything, but I am using now, much faster way, laser printer method, how would I do double side here?

  • Pretty sweet. What transfer method do you use?

  • Hi. Thanks for the interest. I am using direct transfer method. Meaning, i print the PCB layout on photo quality paper (Mirror image). Then iron it on clean (polish with finest sand paper) bare PCB for about 15min. Let it cold down naturally.

Soak in water for about 60min. Removed the paper carefully using bare hand. This is what you get finally. Lovely.

  • Any tips for etching double sided boards?
