This is the best goal I have ever seen in my life. I remember watching it live on tv back then. My brother and I still talk about it. That was by far the best Brazilian team ever. Better than 1970 for me.
Just look at this goal. Brazil 82 were something special. This goal for example..the team used the whole length of the pitch..short passes and long balls, include skillfull hold of the ball, and a dummy by falcao, then a exquisite finish by elder..amazing. such as sham brazil 82 did not win the Cup.
Everything about that goal was pure genius. But the way Isidoro waits what seems like an eternity(the way that Pele waited to pass to Carlos Alberto in 1970) to pass it to Falcao, who casually lets the ball pass between his legs because he knows Eder is right there to put it past the keeper deserves a monument. Hell, it desreves a church. It's I was only 6 months old when this happened and I feel nostalgic for that kind of football.
Saludos a todo Brasil de un mexicano perdido en Manhattan.
That goal, is one of the best goals ever in a World Cup. It will always make me smile every time I see it. I use to pratice it all the time when i was younger, Brilliant.
That casual flair from Falcao is sheer intelligence, this is what you can never teach to a child, it has to come naturally...It is a simple, efforless, beauty...The technique of the goal ?...Ader is the player that made you dream, one of the top ten players EVER to GRACE a football pitch...G...
Eder is a striker coming out of midfield so late--there are two or three in the box but the striker is at the center circle waiting to send in THAT shot. Crazy. Amazing.
eder was my favourite player from that brazil side of 82 ' . Far better than zico who got all the best reviews . the best team never to win the world cup , as a kid i remember being more gutted when brazil went out than england . thats because of eder
He was the one of the best brazillians players and one of the biggest idols of atletico mineiro club....i have seen him playing alive....it was great....eder...Galo!
@caximb4 eu sei que esse gol foi do Eder, vi o jogo ao vivo. Eu estava respondendo a outro comentario que falava de um gol do Nelinho, mas esse comentario parece que foi deletado então parece que eu estava me referindo ao do video..........
i think that it was the biggest mistake made by tele santana! eder was one of the best soccer in the world and i felt in love with foot ball when i saw eder against the ussr in 1982 too
i don't know why he just played the spanish world cup only? why doesn't he play in 86 he was only 29 and 1990 he was 33?! the brazilian team could be the world champion easily
He's got sent off during a warm up match. The coach tele Santana dropped him for good. I think it was the biggest mistake for him. I felt in love with soccer when I saw Eder played. He made soccer such a pleasure game to watch and even better to play.
Eder was the best. Watch all the goals he scored during 82' World Cup, they were all just brilliant. He scored more goals than Zico, Socrates or Falcao.
the brasillian keeper in that 1982 world cup was given a rest in training when Eder, socrates and Zico were practising their shots. The coach was worried he would be injured !!
Convoked Éder of the Clube Atlético Mineiro (Mineiro Athletical Club), more known as "the Bomb of Vespasiano"
Very traditional club of the Brazilian soccer, first national champion. Amulet if became the nickname of the teams and the shout of war - GALO!!!(ROOSTER)
Brilliant world cup lots of class teams, Brazil, France, W Germany, Italy, Poland to name a few and lots of class goals and players (Maradona actualy played for Arg in 1982) . Great goal by a great player - Brazil was stuffed with genius in that world cup - shame they didn't win it
i wouldnt doubt it ... watch Brazil vs Argentina 1982 world cup his free kick where zico got the follow up... hardest shot ive seen on a camera except maybe one by roberto carlos
I was 11 when i watched this world cup and i still think this is the best team i've ever seen.Eder was a fuckin genius!!Did he do much footballing wise after does anyone know??
Eder was still a big part of the national team after 1982. In a team missing Falcao, Cerezo, Zico and Socrates, he starred alongside Roberto Dinamite in the 1983 Copa America championships, scoring a late equaliser in the semi-final against Paraguay, but losing out in the final to an Enzo Francescoli inspired Uruguay.
There was huge disappointment in 1986, when Eder, along with fellow winger Renato Portaluppi, missed out on the World Cup finals in Mexico for disciplinary reasons. Still only 29, he would not play for Brazil again, his last game being against Peru in April, a few months before the tournament kicked off.
His move away from Mineiro kicked off a series of transfers all around Brazil, including Palmeiras, Santos and two more spells back at Atletico Mineiro. He may of ended up with a list of clubs as long as his arms, but his love for the game could never be doubted, and any player who carries on playing into his 40th year commands some respect.
Absolutely my favorite World Cup moment. Brazil had an unbelievable team at the time. It took an act of God for Italy to intervene. Great film clip, thx!
The pass back, the dummy, the overlap, the flick up, the volley, the flight, the direction, the dip and spin, the position of the planets, all of it perfect, one of those moments you watch and realise why you love football.
i could score a goal like this any day or night...only difference is no one else would see it because it would be in my dreams, shit
