So Buckthorn is not native?

Common buckthorn (rhamnus cathartica) and glossy buckthorn (rhamnus frangula) are not native. There are some buckthorns however that are native to the U.S.

@TheJohnlampe It is stupid that people have brought over non-native invasives and that they have broken loose so to speak.

Most invasive buckthorn was brought over in the 1800s before people thought much about the damage they could do. However, many retailers still sell invasive species of various other kinds.
