  • So, where is the Edge?

  • wheres part 6 ?

  • Look at the guy at the far left about 1:29. Un fortunately, I think that says it all.........

  • I guarentee there is a video out there of it, but I am not going to waste my life looking for it. R.I.P Owen! Truly one of the best!

  • There is NO video or photos of Owen falling to his death. There is avideo titled owen hart death fall but it not owen. God how stupid do you people have to be in believing those things exsist.

  • @shutterbuggfan That is correct. But there ARE photos. Also, to anyone who justified Vince Mcmahon continuing the show after Owen's death, that's bullshit. Vince could care less. The only way this would have been justified is if he informed the audience of Hart's death. But since he never did, he's an asshole.

  • @Tornado1994 Yeah photos of them trying to work on him to save his life which didn't happen. But not of the ACTUAL fall. Who said anything about Vince and how he handle the rest of the PPV? I agree with you on what you said but that has nothing to do with what I said. Good grief dude.

  • @shutterbuggfan there is a picture taken afew seconds after he hit the ring

  • Debra was holding on to her composure by a thread, the rest of the show must have been so difficult for everyone..

  • stupid stuny R.I.P owen

  • rip owen

  • Poor Debra was in bits.....Jeff held it well together

  • but i bet he went home in tears that night....i know all the employees in wwe knew before the end of the event.

  • vince murdered owen

  • @tag1989 well if you mean vince russo than yes, it was his idea to put in owen in the rafters

  • @TheHbkbestever lolol i actually ment mcmahon. but yh i guess your right about russo lolol

  • Wow they continued with the show after his death, I know Bret must have been pissed, I woulda quit wrestling if I was Bret.

  • @freethingsmaster he worked for WCW

  • godbless owen

  • WWE Over the Limit May 23, 2010

WWE Over The Edge May 23, 1999

Hum...expect hidden tributes during this year PPV.

  • @cycobern little creepy btw

  • @cycobern I said the same thing to a group of people who were watching Raw a week before "Over The Limit" and they said Vince isn't trying to hide anything. Are you kidding me?! Almost same name and same exact date!

  • vince is garbage for doing this less den dirt

  • Good on you JR you said this so well. What a guy!

  • I don't blame them for continuing the event. In retrospect, maybe they should've ended the show. However, in the moment, most people backstage were probably like, "uh, what the fuck do we do?"

  • owen was gonna be in luv triangle storyline but didn't want his kids 2 think he was playing adultry so vince gave him blue blazer gimmick he didn't deserve gimmick

    how could the show continue

  • owen was gonna be in luv triangle storyline but didn't want his kids 2 think he was playing adultry so vince gave him blue blazer gimmick he didn't deserve gimmick

    how could the show continue

  • owen was gonna be in luv triangle storyline but didn't want his kids 2 think he was playing adultry so vince gave him blue blazer gimmick he didn't deserve gimmick

  • the king said it all at 7:35 by the way the fucking show that sick

  • pisses me off they gave the excuse "owen would have wanted the show to carry on". at what point did he ever say "if i die, carry on with the show"?

  • watch the kid in the crowd to the left of JR ...1:32 he points up then down then does the neck slice thing like yeah hes dead.

  • wow youre right I never noticed that. that dufus is a cold-hearted asshole doing the expression comically

  • @deronmillercky2 I can see how you would think that. The way I interpreted it was he was saying "Owen was up there, and then he fell. Cut the cameras." It's open to interpretation though I guess. Only he will really know if he's an asshole.

  • they shouldnt have forced jeff to do the interview, mcmahon sickens me.

  • Jarret was all over the place in this interview and they shouldnt have made him conduct it in that state.

  • remeber watching this on ppv i thought it was a work untill jr said he was dead

  • i'm glad they didn't show the fall on tv. i wouldn't wanna see that shit

  • how the fuck could they continue the show after that? and how the fuck could the other wrestlers go out and wrestle after hearing about owen? that must've been really hard for them. i hate mcmahon for this.

  • @newjackrulez420 well the thing is, its all about professionalism when ur in a business like this your gonna have to cope with these things. Thats why its said that a intimate relationship between two people with the same job is bad because if they are having a problem with each other then they're not gonna do their job good

  • how did they avoid showing the fall if this was live?

  • theres always going to be a small delay

  • yeah a 7 second delay. but that is not enough to avoid it

  • @SatanDeathKill94 , They were showing a pre-taped interview of Owen.. and showing the fans in the arena. The Arena was Dark at the time from what I hear and even the Live Audiance didn't see the fall.. as Owen was being lowered to the ring.

  • @Astraldragon1 on the Spanish Broadcast, a Loud Thud can be clearly Heard

  • i was 17 yrs old when i saw this sht fuking nuts mann

  • you gotta give the performers credit for putting on a showing knowing what happend

  • Big big BIG props to JR for how he handled this.

  • YEs sir man. He obviously repeated himself a lot but hell if you were forced to be stuck in that situation you don't know what TO say. It also works that JR knows how to word things, so it was very professional. I couldn't be able to announce a death of a co-worker on live TV like that, I would have broken down in tears.

  • @KKFan9 and not only that he just saw owen fall amost 80 feet, and cant belive what he is seeing

  • @MegaSpiderMan Amen.

  • I remember it like it was yesterday, i was at the event i was 11 and i was shocked i didnt know what to expect and my mom was one of the docters working on Owen when he was rushed to St. Lukes downtown. R.I.P Owen you will always triumph over the evil doers

  • If I went to a TNA event with Jeff Jarrett in a match I would chant Owen

  • I bet someone has it on a video camera somewhere I just hope they got rid of the video and forgot it

  • they have had another over the edge ppv?

  • Nope. 1999 was the last year for Over the Edge.

  • Look at the guys behind JR

  • I was graduating from 8th grade that afternoon, May 23rd, 1999. I was sitting in the car waiting for everyone when an ABC world news report came on saying Owen had died. I didn't believe it. I watched headline news and Raw the next night and cried myself to sleep. I love you and miss you Owen. I'm glad you stayed with the WWE, because it just wasn't wrestling without a Hart there. I wish things were different and you didn't have enter the ring that way. We all love you, Owen.

  • U had your graduation on a Sunday Afternnon, that is weird. BTW, RIP OWEN, you will never be forgotten.

  • I had a little toast, was at a graduation party today. I went back to my old grade school, went around the playground and the basketball court. On the drive home I thought of Owen deeply and emotionally. Ten years, only the older folks in my life have said where does the time go but I remember this like it was yesterday.

  • THE saddest day ever in the history of the wrestling industry. Owen was a great wrestler and comedian. Owen's widow Martha wrote a great book called "Broken Harts" that was released in '02 and recalls all of the sad events of that day. According to the book he fell during the first video, which also aired in the arena. The point of the whole stunt was for Owen to trip and fall down after he released himself from his harness according to Bret's book "Hitman".

  • god i dont know how jeff did it. honestly had that been me i wouldnt be able to..id have told vince im sorry and went to the hospital wit him. jeff your def a true man bro.

  • Rightly or wrongly, paid or otherwise, they did.& KudoS to those who had to.Especially is friend Jeff who didnt want to go on afterwards & JR/King who KneW something was wrong.

  • tonights debate do you think it was right for wwe to go on with the show ??

  • thats hardly tonights debate, thats pretty much the big debate

  • Rip Owen

  • What Jeff Jarrett said to Owen Hart is the hope that Owen recovers. But he didn't. However I want to thank Jeff Jarrett for praying for Owen Hart. They were best friend and a great tag team. RIP Owen Hart. We miss you. Jeff Jarrett misses you.

  • i think it's sad that tna are resorting to continue using zipline after this tragendy, it was pretty much an unspoken agreement that they'd never do it again

  • thats rly tough for jeff jarrett, u can tell hes rly distressed and he just pressed on with the show, gotta give him props

  • Im pissed that they made this ppv cont.

  • Well that was tough. Jeff Jarrett's friend was just carted out on his death bed and he has to cut a promo on Val Venis.

  • why didnt u put part 6?

  • It's so easy to look at this in retrospect and complain about how he shouldn't have done this stunt. Sting was doing it in WCW so Vince was like what the hell.

  • Comment removed

  • Now how do you know that? How do you know that Vince threatend to ruin him if he didn't do the gimmick? That he foreced Owen to do it? You heard from a guy who heard from another guy that read on some wrestling newsboard? Come on dude, don't believe everything you read off the internet. If Owen didn't want to do it, he didn't have to. He could have quit, gone to WCW or not wrestle.

  • Exactly. Owen did it to entertain the fans, even though he was uncomfortable doing it, he still did it. Owen showed that he had the guts to do it.

  • owen i think did wanna go to wcw after they screwed bret but vince wouldnt give him a release on his contract, at least thats what i heard

  • you heard correct

  • @SlickMoneyXL It was the fact that they switched the harness that he rehersed with earlier that sunday. IT was Vince McMahon's fault. He knew DAMN well he was putting Owen in danger changing his rigging.

  • @Tornado1994 the whole quick release rig was on vince russo not vince mcmahon, there's an interview with russo about the whole thing

  • @the1andonlyDarkAngel Vince Russo was the stunt cordinator, Vince Mcmahon being the WWF/WWE owner and CEO is in charge of all operations. In all accidents and circumstances Vince Mcmahon is liable in whatever happens.

  • STFU u dont know that, Vince didnt kill him at all!

  • wwe is better than tna

  • Good on ya JR

  • i was ther it was scarry i just wish i could go back in time and cach him and save him

  • I feel the same way about Chris Benoit.

I was at a house show hear in Dublin Ireland there wow nearly two years ago my god and he was in a match vs Gregory Helms and If I could of just you know done something It fucking hurts brother.

  • omg "/ i well couldnt watch the fall "/ it would be stuck in my head and make me think about it all the time.

  • They never showed him falling.

  • there is no such video, they didnt have any camera's rolling during the blue blazer promo.

i agree with you though, it would scar the back of my mind ://

  • They had video, but it was given to police. There HAS to be cameras on the ring at all times just incase an in-ring accident happens. In this case, sadly, Owen Hart(THE best wrestler ever) was killed. I love you Owen. I just hope I am as good a person as you were so I can see you one day.

  • There is NO video of the actual incident. According to Owen's wife as written in her book, the lights wear dimmed and the audiences attention was focused on the titantron. None of the WWE/F cameras wear focused on the ring. The first notice was when the ref (Jimmy K?) herd yelling right above him.

  • @Tgogators

Even if the promos are playing the WWE Camera's are always rolling, (of course the WWE would have some of the tapings maybe Vince probably has it in his valut), Yeah its true the WWE had there cameras to the live crowd, WWE Production Director Kerwin Stifies Kevin Dunn and crew wouldn't show it on PPV. How would they get the cue to roll the other promos or continue on with the show? You figure the WWE has over 8 cameras (maybe more) -thats my theory

  • @Tgogators Correct. But there ARE pics of him falling.

  • @Tornado1994 Never heard that before. Where do you know this from?

  • @Tgogators Fellow Wrestler Havery Race told Martha Hart that Owen had practiced with a harness twice and that minutes before the PPV begin broadcasting, Vince Russo had changed his rigging. Owen told Race, that he had a new rigging that he didn't feel safe about but that he was going to use it anyway.

  • @Tgogators Oh you mean the pics. There's several videos here on youtube showing photos of him falling. Type in Owen Hart fall videos or pics.

  • @Tornado1994 I have seen those (along with reading the descriptions from the photographers website on them. They are not of him actually falling. In a eerie way he did take pictures of him walking in street clothes up to the rafters (right above his seating section) and one just seconds before his fall and seconds after. As he described himself Hart falling from that high was going at a incredible speed.

  • @Tgogators A few of the videos have pics authentically from 1999. Photoshopping didn't exist then, and there's also several pics from online articles and newspapers from that time that are real.

  • @Tgogators A few of the videos have pics authentically from 1999. Photoshopping didn't exist then, and there's also several pics from online articles and newspapers from that time that are real.

  • I'm refearing to pictures of Owen falling in mid air.. Those do not exist.. If so and on the internet I would be very intresting in seeing them. There is authentic pictures of the arena right before his fall and of him laying in the right after. Even a press photo of EMTs taking his body out.

  • It would be one hell of everything being perfect for someone to capture the fall, as he hit the ring within a second being released from his safety harness. It would take a very speific zoom lense (that would not even be allowed to be brought in the building by any given fan) and would haft to be focused. Keep in mind no one knew where exactly he was being lowered (he fell during his promo)

  • The closet to a "leaked" footege was from a fan bootleg of the PPV. The video (most likely on order of WWE) was removed within hours of being posted on youtube.. From what I have read, you can hear something hit the ring, but like the crowd, the camera was also focused on the titantron and too many people in the way to clearly see the ring.

  • I wonder if any of the hart family were watching this while it happened.

  • Owen should never have been given this stupid gimmick in the first place!

  • @colster4life Actually owens idea for the gimmick, its an old gimmick used before, and if im right in my saying owen was sick of the attitude / DX era and so wanted to put some light humor and gimmick back into the fold...the desent from the roof was not his idea on the otherhand, pointless and so sad.

  • this just proves my point that vince doesnot give a fuck about any body else

  • thats why i hate him=).

  • Jerry Lawler's words made my skin crawl...."No it doesnt look good at all".....*chills*

  • It is amazing to see that The Fink could announce as if nothing had happened.

  • part 6 is a must dude

  • Shame on Vince McMahon for allowing the show to go on! Look at how distraught JJ and Debra are in their interview following Owen's fall! And they thought Owen was alive at that moment. What if they were to be given the news right there that Owen had actually died? How can anyone perform after the Owen accident? Shame on Vince McMahon!

  • U can't really blame Vince. I read that when Owen died, everybody wasn't in their right mind that night.

  • @MrBizzel NO. Owen practiced earlier that afternoon with a different harness. Vince ordered that a "quick release" harness be used for the live stunt. He knew better and didn't care.

  • @Tornado1994 NO. I"m talking about that. I"m talking about them going on with the show after the incident happened.

  • @AgentEJA I stopped watching wrestling because of this tragedy. Screw Vince!

  • Upload P.6 soon, plz!!

  • WOAH!!!, Dude!!!, Howd you get this???...

  • He taped it the night it aired live.
