@aBolleh it's CSS(3) alright. don't know about the paning though. doesn't work for me. but i know CSS has that feature too. also there's javascript.

CSS3 has animations, mirror effect, smooth transitions, paning etc, so check it out

Yes it does look like Cooliris but this is done in CSS which is pretty spectacular. If this is the future for 3D CSS then I'm looking forward to it.

Flash runs well ONLY on Windows. It's crap in every single other OS. It's owned and controlled by a single company who only has their profit, not the good of the internet, at heart.

It's completely opaque, web search engines need hacks to search pages with Flash, and worst of all, Flash is used for annoying and intrusive advertisements. And of course YouTube, but hopefully it won't be needed for YouTube much longer.

The point is not that this is like the plugin Cooliris. It's that you don't need a plugin in the first place. Here's o the death of Flash and it's ilk.

Not really. This works on the latest Webkit nightlies, on Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard. While it's cool technology, it's way to premature to say this will kill flash. The transforms are specific CSS extensions implemented by Webkit, not the w3C.
