It's quite possible that she didn't know her mic was turned on...

She sings into the mic, even if its turned off... it helps her keep in time with the song, so it looks like she really is singing.

So, she may have thought her mic was turned off, hence why the vocal is so low, and it sounds like she is whispering the words.
