  • Joey used to be so fat when he was at KBW ~ he looks younger now

  • Dan's shaved his trademark Beard? I'd hardly recognized him until He'd spoke!

  • Dan Ingram once talked the intro to Raydio's "You Can't Change That" by saying... and now a song "about a cement diaper".

  • Joey Reynolds wasn't he the king of WKBW in Buffalo back when?

  • Agree. He is great. Have a 1967 WABC aircheck with him and it is fantastic.

  • I am part of a wide group of "fans" who have many airchecks of the WABC from the 60's and 70's and lived through much of the greatest period in AM radio..WABC and WNEW. Ingram was, in my opinion, the Steve Allen of classic AM radio..so damn funny, occasionally risque and actually the 'boss" of many greats like Lundy, Murrow and Anderson amoung others. I was at Wagner College on Staten Island when the lights went out..we had power!

  • Amen to gsharrad. The biggest irony in the Aquarius intro is not that he blew the title of the record but that he did not hit the post. For Ingram...unbelievable. Best contemporary format jock ever.

  • No one but no one could touch his wit and talk up humor!

  • It looks like Dan Ingram is full of himself.

  • He deserves to be. He was an incredible DJ.

  • Like Imus and Stern weren't?

  • @Gedaning20 So what else is new? But he was hilarious in his hey day.

  • Dan Ingram made me want to be a DJ. Unfortunately I went to college and Broadcasting and DJs were being phased out by automation. But he is the greatest!

  • JOey is Great!

  • This is great! We are so lucky to have a video of this program as well as all the original airchecks floating around these days that we do... what memories! I only wish there were more recordings that were unedited! So glad to see his more recent interviews! Too bad this doesn't seem to have the second part, I'll go look further...Thanks for posting!

  • Dan Ingram is a god! I want his babies!!!!

  • Dan Ingram is a RADIO GOD! The man should be cloned to preseve that voice!

  • I received my first radio back in 1976, it was a small transistor type portable, which only received AM. I listened to WABC quite frequently, but will always remember Mr. Ingram's show, especially, the prologue at the end, which had Howard Cosell's show immediatley following.

  • Very cool. Two of the most popular DJ's from my High School years together on WOR. I remember the Great Blackout described by Dan Ingram very well. The music just slowed down to an unsteady wobble and the radio signal just faded to almost nothing. Glad that radio is alive and well in NYC.

  • dan ingram was, and is, the greatest dj that ever lived

  • You got that right. He's a legend and a Hall of Famer. GOD BLESS DAN INGRAM!!!

  • Dan is the best Top-40 jock ever.

  • I would love to hear listeners do their Dan Ingram impressions, not to mention more of his appearance with Joey. Anybody have the rest of the show to post?

  • Dan Ingram, no one like him
