  • she just might be the beautiful woman to exist, ever! you know, for a blond.

  • I used to bartend and play this CD, and people would just go crazy over it, They would always ask who it was, and constantly ask me to play it!! Every cut on this CD is great, she is such a great talent. She could sing the phone book and I would listen to her!!

  • Just Great!! Love this lady!

  • A superb version of this. I always felt a little odd whenever I heard the Doris Day version...turns out that it was a #1 hit at the time of my birth (Aug 24, 1954.), and was playing on the radio in the nursery.....BRAVO LORRIE!!!!!

  • Lorrie evokes some of the inflections of Doris Day. Good job!!!

  • @midnitegoddes21 so true. i didn't do it, like a fool, and i died. silly me. won't be doing that again!

  • I didn't know Lorrie sang this. I loved it when Doris Day sang it in "Calamity Jane", but this is beautiful too. Love anything Lorrie Morgan does!

  • wow

  • Buy this CD /Secret Love...it's remarkable...beautiful lady, great arrangements...

  • @candancealot Gotta disagree. While Freddy Fender is great he can't hold a candle to Lorrie and Doris Day on this beautiful song. They own it.

  • @12715159 Very true! I especially like this rendition from Lorrie Morgan. The opening instrument is just beautiful. Superb. Also the Jazz piano solo in the middle. Another favorite from Lorrie Morgan is "From this moment on" duet with her father George Morgan. Freddy Fender, "Before the next teardrop falls". That's totally different song although I like it very much, too.

  • NICE TAKE!It is a hard task to follow Doris day and perhaps moreso Kathy Kirby. It is ok. JG (just going)

  • Perfect!

  • What a great song! :-)

It's so 1930's - 1950's "Jazz" sounding & she sings this so very good!

    What a GR8 talent!

Thanks for the upload of this :-)

  • @esacnitsuj1 indeed : ) it was a big hit in the early fifties. I love Lorrie's jazzy take on it. The tinkling piano is just perfect.

  • The Secret Love Album is absolutely wonderful...a series of Nelson Riddle like arrangements with Lori's voice on top. What is better than that?

WOW, buy it if you can still get it.

    Larry

  • I like her version, but I do thnk Freddy did it better.

  • wow..

thanks for introducing this lovely Lady to me..

    Erik Tielman, floridaaaa

  • Don't agree with some of the previous comments. She Lorrie-ized a great old Doris Day song and made it hers just as she has done with a number of other artists songs - see my comments on her version of Will You Love Me Tomorrow.

  • Nope. doesn't work at all. But then I don't like Lounge Singer style

    Freddy Fender owns this song.

  • Is it True Lorrie had a Fling with Elvis back

when she was in her 20's.........?

  • there is no way she could have had a fling with elvis he died in 1977 she did not turn 20 until 1979 shes only 50 now.lol

  • True ...But you know Elvis Liked em young....and Lorrie is a big Elvis fan....

as your well aware...Also .both of them are from tennessee too..

  • yea you could be right.lol

  • I just love Lorrie Morgan to pieces but sheeez someone buy her a sandwich..she looks like a good wind woulda blown her away back then. ;)

  • Absolutely Breathtaking, what a beautiful song. and what a singer she is..hats off to her .

  • I love her, love this Cd, but that dress is ugly.

  • Bravo,just as good as Doris Day.Good video.Art

  • One of my favorite songs. austinhealey3

  • Nicely done, I think she didn't do it to different from the orginal, and though I prefer Doris's version, she did a good job and gave respect to the song.

  • Couldn't have said it better Mika. dave

  • This is super

  • abslutely beautiful!

  • You tend to wonder what some of the stars and celbs look like, or ARE like in person...well a few years back

I met Lorrie at Noshville, a deli off of West Broadway, in Nashbille, TN. Not wanting to bother her or act like a star struck teen, I just sort of smiled, (as she sat there in this georgous rose colored dress)--she smiled really big , this Million Dollar smile, and said "HELLO". Needless to say, I melted into the floor. SHE IS SOOO Beautiful it defies imagination!!! Love song thanks!

  • Just read your response. That s why I get so outraged when people blame Lorrie for the downfall of Keith. I didn t know Keith personally. Had a coupe of drinks with him. But I guess I knew Lorrie from having worked around her more. Was in the business over 25 years. I became an old burnt old dude. lol No matter. lorrie is a great talent, more important she is a very loving, caring and forgiving lady.

  • your lucky dude I would have jumped her!!

  • You don't get better than this!!

  • Cowboy you know who you are.

  • Immaculate performance. Just love those low notes.. I've never come across her before today. How refreshing to hear a song sung "straight" and how it was written, instead of being performed with all the awful vocal acrobatics so many female singers insist upon nowadays. This is just lovely. Thank you for posting this. You have good taste.

  • well said.

  • lol @ all the comments on here

    hayyyyyyyyyyy sup girl!! Qn

  • Great job. You go girl.

  • Lorri I think you understand.Live in peace. Understand that I will have to work out my own peace. The devils still persist. I will be with you always. Much Much love. always.
