Just for clarification, the word teonanacatl is not a Mazatec word (a culture that lives in northern Oaxaca). Teonanacatl is a word in the language of the Aztecs, from the Valley of Mexico. Many cultures in Mexico (Oaxaca has more than 17 distinct language groups) are familiar with magic mushrooms, but the Mazatec is the culture of Maria Sabina.

Well then, the divine has forsaken me too, because Psilocybin no longer 'finds me' (for over 2 years) and I do not have a Shaman's club or forest that supplies. So, the requirement is learning to grow and harvest with integrity and consume with utter respect. And although herb still finds me, I am going to grow and harvest that too (better quality and better price). Like u said, we can do what we please in our own home, but know that I would bring those experiences to other conducive places also
