The audio sounds better in AVCHD because it records stereo sound at 192kbps and 44.1khz rate, and standard hd, only does 16khz

@miguelmiki11 Se lo recomiendo, la cámara es buena para las fotos y videos y tiene un buen zoom. Es pequeño y fácil de llevar. El TZ8 probablemente es mejor comprar que TZ10, ya que es casi lo mismo pero no tiene GPS.

I agree overall that the TZ10 is a superb camera but, although low light retains blacks and manages a much better recording than many, a crowd shot in many of my tests simply puts 'blobs' where the faces should be. It does not seem capable of resolving detail/focus in low light. If anyone has any tips on how to set the camera to imporve this, please post.

Thank you for the test video! I just bought my ZS7 a few days ago, but I have a question.

Does anyone know how to change the settings for the recording mode? When you click on the recording mode, it automatically starts recording. I was wondering how you can change the settings for low light before you start recording? When you choose the setting, it goes to pictures, and then you click on recording again it is goes back to the original. Any help would be appreciated!

@venomouskissx i just use the video mode and it automatically goes to night mode... (Shows a moon or something in the top left corner).

No Samsung are now producing the newer models (wb600/650) with a 15X optical zoom, although i have to agree with you on the spectacular video feature that the tz10 has. By any chance do you know how many minuted of video you can hold on a 1gb card using the tz10?

@joshk0007 well i use a 8 Gb card,and i can fit literally hours on it. However a 15 second clip uses 27 Mb in AVCHD, so that is 1.8 Mb/s so since there is 1024 Mb in a Gb then that is 568 seoncds, so that is nearly 10 minutes on full HD with AVCHD. I might be wrong, but that is my guess, did it in a hurry.

@joshk0007 I have seen videos on Youtube and the Leica lens + Pana OIS make the difference. One other must of the Pana is the metal body, however the OLED screen in the Samsung is much better compared to the LCD display of any other camera.

@joshk0007 is that not 10X optical zoom? Also the thing i love about this camera is the AVCHD, it uses about 40% of the space of a normal movie clip, and it has better quality. Also i like the stereo microphone on the TZ10, along with windcut. I was considering that samsung when buying this, however i decided on this one, i agree with you that it is a good camera, but on paper the TZ10 seems better, never seen photos or videos from it, so i dont know how good it is for that.

@joshk0007 wb650 but samsung has a problem when the person who is recording this in motion, everything goes out of focus, and looks very bad, while the static camera recording, is excelente
