TIE Fighter was much better than this game... I really miss playing as the Empire when everyone was a sinister badass rather than an overenthusiastic moron yelling like "WOO HOO ANOTHER BANDIT DOWN AREN'T I AWESOME?" Less is more sometimes.

This was made back when the industry wasn't full of hacks.. a lot of these guys had a long history at Lucasarts and worked on a bunch of the older titles.. totally different era of gaming! Imagine what they could do with today's technology..

You can also download "Fraps" to record more videos of the missions. Then, with windows movie maker, you can enter the explanations of the mission with recorded voice files. In the black tunnel of death, to the point of the tractor beam, will continue to fly straight to avoid damaging the hull. But you are godder than me in the tunnel: I always banged everywhere XD

I have two recommendations: You can make the black death does not move in the background doing esc, video options, options single player and then stars = high density.

You can also change color to HUD doing video options, single player options, hardware options, and then color HUD.

However good you are to shoot at TIE Fighter, but you shouldn't shot with 4 blaster. It's boring XD...

I use 4 laser cannons to shoot at the TIEs because it takes 1 shot that way and I can quickly move on to the next one.

You should use Dark Saber Ultimate Craft Pack, the cockpit in that XWA patch looks exactly like in the movie.

Since you went through all that trouble to put genuine sound, why not use the DSUCP as well ?

Yeah it leaves some story threads hanging at the end, particularly the fate of Antan. I guess you'll have to download fanmade missions if you want more singleplayer action. Or get a mission editor and make your own.

I'm redoing this mission in a third party editor with proper ISDs in place of the dummy ones, and more rebel ships as well - problem is the game crashes if I have more than 100 capital ships or ~600 starfighters..

Unfortunately, apart from the lame space combat in Battlefront 2, we have nothing newer :(
